It’s Thursday, which means another 10 free tracks to put in your pocket from your friends here at GDD™. This week, aRod and I have gathered a diverse selection for you with originals, remixes, and edits all making an appearance. Make sure to hit the zip downloads to grab them all and feel free to browse by previewing each track on the Soundcloud players below.
Spring can now officially begin. The newaRod SpringGlo 2013 Mixis here to set the mood for the entire Spring season. From deep disco to indie-electro, from big disco to UK + deep house, this mix runs the gamut on all your favorite genres. Lustful, sleazy, bouncy vibes from the MASSIVE track list (incl. Villa, Kastle, Russ Chimes, Classixx, Ali Love & Breach, just to name a few of the fantastic many). ENJOY.
One of the biggest dance tracks of 2013, “Comet” by Hey Champ, gets the remix treatment from everyone’s favorite German, Justin Faust. Herr Faust takes the indie-dance anthem and fittingly gives a track named “Comet” some spacey, orbital shine. It’s the kind of dreamy synth sounds that makes one long for the return of 2009 Dreamwave à la VEGA.
Justin Faust’s shimmering remix of “Comet” is available as a free download. Take a ride…
My good friend aRod and I have selected 10 tunes this week for your listening pleasure. We went pretty eclectic as per usual with any Dirt, so download them individually or download both zips for the whole enchilada. Happy Dirt day folks.
As the weather inches closer to summer, disco dictator & good times engineer, Tropicool, has finely crafted yet another mixtape certain to tickle your sweetest loins from the inside out. The funk phenomenon and sun-kissed feel-good tunes aren’t going anywhere fast, because summer is always somewhere. Grab your frostiest mug and fill it up with the golden gooch. The Myrts are waiting.
Tropicool, radicool, sun-kissed nation vibration. Coconuts and mindtai’s. Heads in the clouds and your feet in the water. Babes in bikini’s, cool pool parties, and crackin’ freshies at the beach with your toes in the sand. Which brings me to my next point. Why don’t you sexy ladies out there wear the 80’s retro thong bikinis arching high above your thighs, that truely accentuate those dirty dancin’ stems of yours? Bring it back, please, we beg you.
Here’s the tenth installment of Waves ≠ Raves, and might actually be my favorite compilation of the bunch. So be rad, don’t tell dad, and do the jungle boogie.
“The waves ≠ raves consists of hand-picked gems that inspire us, tickling and tempting our creative juices. Some are old, some are new, but it is what we are listening to now. They are groovey, flowing, and sun-kissed just like that perfect wave. They are uplifting and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. They sound the best with a babe in one hand, a cold brewski in the other, and the sand beneath your feet. Stay Dreamy.”
Not sure why I picked this picture but it was mildly appealing at the time. Anyways, here’s a double-couple of tracks to get you through the week depending on your mood. You might want to twist that volume knob up and fist pump a little for the first two, and then maybe cut up a grape swisher and relax for the last two. The choice is yours.
Also, does anyone know of any really cool happenings for New Year’s Eve? Preferably within 400 miles of LA. I kinda feel like getting out of the city this year. Vegas maybe? Anything there? Let me know.
Summertime is here and what better way to embrace it than providing your dirty boys and girls with some spankin’ new Hey Champ? If you are not familar with them, you can find my most recent post on them here. So get these songs into your ghetto blaster, bring it down to the beach, and make some groovy new friends.
No doubt in my mind, Hey Champ are definitely champs. Winners at that. These guys happen to possess one of my favorite sounds of the moment. Hey Champ consists of Saam, Pete, and Jonathon, three homies that hail from Rockford, Illinois. They blend together Rock and Dance in thier productions as well as thier DJ sets. Their live show consists of all 3 members, while thier DJ sets consists of only Saam and Jonathon where they go by the name of Hey Champ DJs..similar to the layout of Soulwax/2manyDjs.
I highly recommend you check out all these songs as they are all gems. You will be a richer person with these fantastic sounds in your ears.
