Not going to Coachella this weekend? Needing some good music to take your mind off of your FOMO (fear of missing out)? CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood has put together a stacked lineup of young and emerging talent this Friday night to make the Los Angeles dance music community proud. Co-headlining the night will be our pals, Harvard Bass and Flinch, with supporting sets from LA’s own LAZRtag, Valentino Khan, and gLAdiator. Don’t be waiting around for your friends’ Coachella pics to come up on Facebook. Get out to Avalon and get dirty.
Please email names to RSVP@gottadancedirty.com to be on our discount guestlist for the evening. All names must be submitted by 5PM on Friday.
Our favorite ghetto-tech chicano Harvard Bass has given in to the Levels craze and created a special almost dub version of the original Aveech tune. For those who play respectful sets and don’t wanna seem like your playing the cheese, Harvie Bass has the version for you. And for FREE? TECH YES.
What a weekend it’s been so far, and there’s still one more event tonight on our schedule. Our friends at Dim Mak will be hosting Felix Cartal and Harvard Bass at Drai’s in Hollywood for an amazing party to culminate your weekend. It’s a special night for Felix, as he’ll be celebrating the release of ‘Don’t Turn On The Lights,’ which came out on Dim Mak in December.

I need to get me one of these shirts! Happy Monday GDD™ people! After one serious bender of a weekend, I am back to the grind and ready to give you all some great tunes to start the week off right. Check out this 5 pack of remixes from some of the top artists in the game right now.
What’s up my fellow dirty dancers, I hope your weekend is treating you as well as it is treating me. This has been a great week in music, whether your in Miami or not (and if you are, I want you to know I hate you a little bit). Anyways, I was very honored when FuzZ, Avedon and Zedex all decided to contribute to this weeks dirt! From complex IDM to French House, the three artists certainly differ in their sound, but not their unmistakable talent. With a wide range of songs to choose from on this weeks dirt, there is certainly something for all of you. So without further ado, myself, Fuzz, Avedon and Zedex present this week’s dirt after the jump!
*Check out the exclusive tracks from Fuzz, Zedex & St. Andrew!
Man this week is stacked with events and giveaways, but I don’t think there is such a thing as giving too much good stuff away, so GDD™ will be giving 5 (yes 5!) pairs of tickets away for Into The AM this Saturday at The Grove of Anaheim with JFK, Harvard Bass, and Bird Peterson. To enter to win, please head on over to our FACEBOOK PAGE and write down your social security number on our wall. Just kidding don’t do that…how about the first dance music song/artist that broke you open into the world of electronic music. Winners will be announced tomorrow afternoon. Fire away!
First off I would like to apologize for getting The Dirt up late in my first attempt. I am just finally coming back around to reality after the events from this past weekend. If you were not at the Pigeonhole This! Records x Crown Jewels party this weekend at The Well in Downtown LA you definitely missed on quite the night with a super stacked lineup. Well without further adieu. I present to you The Dirt Volume 23.
Los Angeles!GDD™ has a late Christmas present for two of you dirty dancers! As I stated a week or so ago on Facebook, we are giving away a pair of tickets to HARD New Year’s Eve this 31st of December at The Music Box in Hollywood with Mr. Oizo, DJ Falcon, Brodinski, Congorock, and Harvard Bass. To enter the contest, please go to our FACEBOOK page, like us if you haven’t already, and write what you are most looking forward to about anything to do with electronic music and the EDM scene in 2011 on our wall. Good luck!
***Okay, so we have discovered that these guys actually are from San Bernadino, and the name is spelledThe Gooniees(with a double e) due to copyright violations with everyones favorite movie. Fans of Harvard Bass, Crookers, and Kid Kaio need to jump on these quick – they deliver superb ghettotech with dirty hip hop vocal sampling in all the right instances. Don’t stop get ‘em get ‘em.
