In recent times, there has been a lot of chatter about the famed party paradise, Ibiza, and its current state with dance music. Carl Cox famously announced that this summer season will be his last on the White Isle, and stories about parties getting shut down by police have been making the rounds. But what exactly is happening in Ibiza? I know most of us over here state-side could definitely use a little more context…
Billboard has released a 5-part mini-documentary series, The Real Ibiza, that covers all angles, from artist residents to the actual nightclubs, underground vs. mainstream, and more. Watch the all of the parts in succession above to be in the know about Ibiza, and to hear from Claude VonStroke, Seth Troxler, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, and more on the pressing matters at hand.
Since a new year is one of the best excuses for celebration, many tend to make their plans far in advance. However, my optimism and a little procrastination got the best of me, and before I knew it, I was scrambling to solidify my plans in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve. Luckily, everything fell into place and I was ecstatic to begin 2013 at Insomniac‘s White Wonderland at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Last minute plans certainly don’t always work out as great as they did for my New Year’s Eve. Read how it all went down after the jump…

Over the past couple weeks we have been re-living the best moments of Electric Zoo (and there are many) but some of my favorite moments were hanging out with a couple of the acts and hearing from them firsthand what they’re up to and what we can expect over the next few months. One of the first interviews I did was with Hardwell. Check out what he had to say about Tiesto, a controversial bootleg package, Sensation and more below.
In praise of the madness about to ensue in the desert for the next 2 weekends, I have created a celebration to the structure that will serve as a haven to much of the music that has built GDD™ to what it is today. I present to you the BONESSAHARA 2012 MIX, built on some of the biggest tracks in dance music as of current, along with a few surprises from the future.
