RL Grime has the trillest costume on the block today with his † HALLOWEEN MIX 2012 †, with the GoosebumperRL Stine himself co-signing on a creepy intro for the thing. Haunted-ass trap chopped up with creepy goodies galore… and “CLIQCLIQ- ??????” Huge. I’m trying to get real scared and keeping this on repeat for a couple hours.
Miami is in for a magical treat on Halloween night. Heralded as the DJ’s DJ, the dance floor maestro, and the mixtape assassin, The Magician has quickly taken the title of the godfather of good times. His acclaimed Magic Tape mix series grew from an audience of select bloggers and fans who were aware of his departure from Aeroplane, to a massive international group of listeners just wanting to bask in the glory of his tropical aura. Tickets for this Magical Edition of Slap & Tickle at Bardot are still available for $20. For more information about the event, click here.
Crawling into the land of the living on Hallows eve, the creature is back. It took several necessary body parts to create this monster, and so the wait is finally over. I’m excited for this one because it really embodies some of the harder sets I’ve been playing lately, while also premiering some brand spankin new music from the likes of Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, Gesaffelstein, Botnek, Galantis (project trifecta of Savage Skulls, Miike Snow, Style Of Eye) and many more. The season is upon us, so listen to this and cause some mischief and mayhem, wake the dead, dance with the devil, get high, get mid, get low – pick your poison dirty dancers, and Happy Halloween.
As we kick off the first Halloweekend, we bring you a special Halloween edition of the dirt – with tracks essential for your themed DJ sets or just party playlist. Lucky enough for you, the producers cover the spectrum in this edition of the dirt, so theres tricks and treats for everyone! This Holloween weekend’s set for massive things on both sides of the Atlantic. If you’re in London, there’s no better way to start your Halloween than at the legendary East Village in Shoreditch on Friday. The place kitted out GDD™ rave dungeon style, so you can expect bloodcurdling basslines as you’re treated to sets from Electric Rescue and Maya Jane Coles. We were lucky enough to catch a quick five with Maya, a rising star who at only 22 years old is sitting at number 1 on Beatport‘s Deep House charts for her monster track ‘What They Say’. Here is how it played out.
Well my pretties, it’s that time again. In celebration for one of the best party holidays of the year, I present to you a 3o minute Halloween mix guarantee to bring out your inner ghoul in order to get down. I’ve got some unreleased treats packed inside, as well as some classic tricks we all know and love. I tried not to put in any of the way too popular tracks were sadly already getting tired of, plus I’m sure we’ll here plenty of those this weekend (You HARD-bound kiddos know what I’m talking about). This mix is not for the faint of heart, and not for the weak of ear – so whatever you’re getting into this weekend, be sure to crank this dance floor concoction when your slappin on your silly ass costume. Happy Halloween you dirty dancers. LEZZGO!
