From the hills of Navarre, Spain, the Basque trio dubbed Crystal Fighters continuously releases quality , energetic folktronica, and the first taste of their forthcoming sophomore album enticingly wets the palate for what is to come. The single “You & I” came out a couple of weeks ago via the group’s Soundcloud. It’s a joyous production, heavily influenced by live instruments and flowing uptempo vocals, and undoubtedly provides that ever-approaching summertime feel. GDD™ favorite Gigamesh has tried his hand at remixing the fantastic original, adding in a flickering, Kavinsky-esque synth — giving the track a much more electronic feel. Download the remix below and keep an eye out for Crystal Fighters’ album, Cave Rave, out May 27th.

Sundays always put me in a sway of classic tune-age, and who could attest the righteousness of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” Something about those infamous vocals from Stevie Nicks that you can’t help but groove to – and with the help of some familiar remixers, the track has been dusted off and revived once more! Among the many renditions out there, I have for you a sampler of my favorites; including versions by Flight Facilities, Gigamesh, Dave Edwards and Megaman & Panic City. Each of them radiate their own unique vibe, while still carrying the spirit of the original. Listen and download them all below!
