Someone or something has been making a disturbance in the neighborhood… a STRANGER. In only the past few months, this mysterious producer has criminalized dance music as we know it, churning out severely low end driven house with elements of garage, bassline, breaks, fidget and ghetto tech. We finally caught the culprit, and sentenced him to the GDD™ Guest Mix, which he has delivered to us in the form of an hour packed with new originals and remixes and from himself and friends alike. Keep an out for Stranger, because you don’t know if he’s watching you.

The Parisian duo known as ALESIA has broken through with their genre-defying style of dance music, and the world is has taken notice. With releases on OWSLA, Mad Decent, and more, ALESIA is also being recognized by well-respected tastemakers in the scene, while keeping their music fresh and forward-thinking. In their fantastic guest mix, which they’ve dubbed “I Call My Brother ‘Moon’ Cause He Shine Like One,” they offer a broad spectrum of styles and rhythms made cohesive with their harder, high energy vibe that will keep you on the edge of your seat – or off of it, for that matter. South Africa’s Cuebur started his career as a musical child prodigy with tracks pulsating throughout local clubs and dance floors by the age of 15. He took it upon himself to bring his country a different sound by producing house and hip-hop, which contributed to him being regarded as a reputable and appreciated DJ/producer by peers and fans alike. Taken under the wing of the trusted Defected Records, Cuebur is now making noise on an international stage with releases like his recent album, For Headz Only, while strengthening his presence in his local scene. In this guest mix, he merges African-influenced organic sounds with house for a clubby world music-type vibe.
