It’s another amazing round of hot new tracks courtesy of your boys Stevie Ewald + aRod. And when we say hot new tracks, we mean it. All ten tracks in The Dirt #151 are fresh out of the oven. And the best part? They’re all free for your taking. A brand new remix by The Twelves (of The Knocks, no less!)…yeah, that’s in there. New originals from Cyril Hahn, Gorgon City, Figgy & Cory Enemy? Those are in there, too. Plus heaters by our homies Panic Bomber and Huerta, Tchami, and a ridiculous anthem by Mayhem, Antiserum, Gents & Jawns.
BAIO released the Mira EP via Future Classic last week featuring 4 new originals including title track “Mira,” which has been given an interesting video playing on the Spanish word. Check the video above and head over to the Future Classic Soundcloud to stream the EP.
Future Classic is back at it, this time with Luke and Olly from Bodhi and the first track off their upcoming EP set to be released on Oct. 7th. The guys are currently on tour with Bondax, and you may have heard this rinsed if you’ve been able to catch one of the sparse and secretive shows. A vinyl pre-order form is available for those looking to stay ahead of the curve. Others, for now, will have to let the stream tide them over until a digital release becomes available from overseas.
Hayden James set the blogs afire back in June with his silky smooth single, “Permission to Love,” reaching #1 on Hype Machine and racking up over 400K listens on Soundcloud thus far, and today, his self-titled EP sees release on GDD™ fav imprint, Future Classic. In addition to “Permission to Love,” the Hayden James EP chalks up 4 other originals equally as impressive, showcasing an attractive downtempo R&B style that is just plain sexy and lovely to listen to in the headphones. If I had to pick, “Lay Down” is probably my favorite jimmy jam on the release, but listen to it all and make your own decision. √+
This song is fucking beautiful. Luke & Olly of the Cardiff-based duo, Bodhi, create a heavenliness with Charles Murdoch‘s “Dekire” that honestly takes me to a fantasy land in my mind that I never want to leave. It’s overflowing with positive vibes, pulling together a very delicate vocal from Oscar Key Sung with a non-intrusive beat. Please download this, you’ll be happy you did. Thanks Future Classic for the freebie.
Future Classic‘s own, Touch Sensitive isn’t a sound, it’s a feeling. It’s served frothy, always smooth, and imported strait from down under. With a wardrobe only to match the intricacy of his sounds, a beautiful music mosaic is formed. Ascending and descending melodies paired with funky bass will have you cruising in the sun-kissed rays in no time. It’s time to eat some pizza, get sensitive, see sounds, and listen to colors because when this tape is over, you’ll swear you might have drank a little too much of that serotonin smoothie.
Oh, did i forget to mention this is the solo project of Mikey from Van She?
All representatives of the French Express imprint had an amazing year in 2012 — constantly producing jam after groovy jam as well as hitting the road across the globe. This month, 2 of the label’s stalwart producers, Perseus and Jonas Rathsman, were called upon by BBC’s Pete Tong for their hand at an Essential Mix, and the pair took the opportunity full on and curated a tracklist of pure gold. Tons of goodies from French Express, Future Classic, HyperColour, Futureboogie, and a healthy amount from their secret CDR stash. Download below. √+

Labels that have stuck to their guns amidst the rollercoaster ride that has been the dance music industry in the past decade are now finding themselves miles ahead in a competitive industry. My favorite label at the moment, Future Classic, will be releasing its debut compilation on August 13th which will feature a grip of exclusive originals and remixes that haven’t been available anywhere including Danny Daze‘s “Zone,” DJ T‘s remix of “Changed” by Mario & Vidis, Flume‘s “Tropical Sun,” and many many more. This video shows the Future Classic DJs testing out these tunes to crowds around the world, and as you’d expect the response is just what they were looking for.
