On the mellower side of house music, Free N Losh comes through with a wavy marimba filled jam to fill all your poolside needs. Off the new LA Imprint, Next Wave Records, the track features dreamy beach drenched vocals from Cat Lewis and a beat thrown in reverse for an intergalactic breakdown that tugs at the beat like the moon’s gravitational effect on the sea.

In their own words: “I am writing this letter from the same place that this EP came from… I just read that we know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the floor of the ocean. Everyone seems to be so focused on a search for what’s out there that a lot of people ignore the things that can be found in here… A World Within is about the things we see when we close our eyes. Sometimes I think that this reality is more important than the one most people are focused on. These days I’m messing with the idea that deep down you already know the answer to a lot of questions that truly matter to you. So instead of helping everyone else build spaceships, this EP is about boarding a submarine that goes to the bottom of the sea.”

A few days ago Toronto based duo, Free n Losh released this dope 5 track remix EP with glitch-hop, and relaxed trap flavored reworks of Ray Charles, Led Zepplin, The Mills Brothers, The Beatles and Frank Sinatra. More often than not I’m usually unimpressed by electronic reworks of classics, but Free n Losh hit the nail on the head with these. The subtle additions in their production take all the best elements of these classic songs and bring them back into chill, sexy relevance. Grab the DL below:
