Jesse Rose makes a lot of music. After successfully completeing a twelve-month release plan over the entirety of 2013, his third studio album drops next month. But even that isn’t enough for the veteran house producer and DJ. Today he dropped a bomb on the internet, announcing that for the next twelve days he’d be giving away an additional twelve tracks, the lot of which he’s appropriately calling The Free Twelve Inches.
The tracks are available for streaming on Soundcloud through his label Play It Down, but all you’ve got to do to get the tracks for yourself is head over to his official Facebook page and click on the “Download Music” tab. If you’re a fan of his page, you’re two clicks away from a handy little .zip folder of twelve fantastic selections of Jesse Rose tracks, from instrumentals to remixes to plenty of original works.
The Free Twelve Inches is available for download until January 27th. Access them HERE.

I wasn’t there, and I only have the theme from L-Vis 1990′s SoundCloud and a snippet of a video posted by the NY Times to bring this testament to life, regardless, there was an explosion of artistry the other weekend at Art Basel in Miami as London’s Matthew Stone & Co. took to the stage in a display of gender bending spirituality. The theme from L-Vis 1990 that was featured in the opera is a dark meticulously composed piece that grips you for it’s entirety as an electronic symphony comes to life inside your head. In a world where DJ’s get a pretty bad rap for their one dimensional performances, it’s artists like L-Vis 1990 that breathe life back into the word, artist. Catch the short recap video of the performance and L-Vis 1990′s soundtrack after the jump and see if you can make some sense of the art. Continue Reading

Normally when you drink Champagne it’s to celebrate, to be bubbly and vivacious, but Blackedout murders out the champagne poppin’ mentality with a downtempo spacey edit that puts a dark twist on the celebratory nectar. Letting the track breathe reveals a layered climax of pulsating spacey synths and soothing sub bass that is sure to get you twisted on the track. Following up the release of his self titled debut EP, Blackedout is making a rather mysterious name for himself, darkness being the main motif for this up and comer out of NY.
