The dirty bird brethren Worthy answered the prayers to everyone who loves the wonderfully weird ‘What About Us’ from Flume & Chet Faker but didn’t have a “club ready” version to play out… here’s what he had to say about it:

Little remix I did of Flume’s amazing “What About Us” tune. I have been in love and infactuated with this track for awhile that I decided to give it the Worthy treatment so I could play it in my sets. I hope you dig it as much as I do.

The LA mystery man Whiiite just dropped a little spin on Lana Del Rey’s ‘Shades Of Cool’ and it’s got a refreshing summer hip-hop vibe. The haunting vocals of Lana get flipped, cut up and laid into an energetic production with a killer drum line that carries all the way through. Here’s what he had to say…

Was vibing on Lana Del Rey’s New album on a flight from Chicago to LA and heard Shades of Cool. Started messing with a beat on the flight and this is where we ended. Hope you all enjoy. As always truly thankful for all your support… spreading the word about our project, reposts, retweets, etc. Much Love

Todd Terje‘s Inspector Norse is one of the most fun dance records we’ve heard in recent years, and Little Boots is back to bring this track back into the limelight with her sugary vocal rendition. The UK darling reigned supreme in the glory days of bloghaus, and after releasing an album called Nocturnes in May this year, it would appear that we can hope to hear her velvet vocal chords to cut through some more tracks in the back half of 2014.

As LA gets ready to hit the rave tomorrow in the form of HARD Summer (OH YES BABY YES!) we could use a little dash of nostalgic fire stoking. Harking back to the glorious days of  bloghaus and Justice mashups, Samir’s Theme was a staple tune at the festy. In fact, I have a handful of 128 kpbs bootlegs & remixes sitting in my iTunes right now, but none sound as chunky and radical as this 2014 Ape Drums Rework. While keeping the meat and potatoes of the tune in tact, he’s added on healthy dollop of gravy to really make this a savory one. As it is, Mr. Drums will be hitting the road with Kill The Noise this fall on an upcoming tour called ‘Majestic As F@*k, which sounds like a pretty neat time. You can probably bet your bottom dollar to expect a couple more of these reworks to circulate the airwaves soon.

As if the original and its first remix package wasn’t enough – Sweat It Out! and Motez are offering a very special giveaway remix to his newest single “Own Up”, coming from the mysterious collaborative project called POOLCLVB. This charts in as our personal favorite remix yet, and the response is an accordance with support from the likes of Claude Vonstroke, Oliver Heldens, Nina Las Vegas, Yolanda Be Cool, CRNKN and even Motez himself. Jackin and melodic, this remix delivers everything you’d want for a summer tune fit (ironically) for both the pool and the club. Listen and grab it below for FREE!

Last week, Treasure Fingers dropped a wobbly, club monster in the form of Honey Dip. While he reigned supreme for years at that top of the ‘nu-disco’ field, it appears he’s since disavowed his affiliation with the glazed genre and shifted efforts to making some manic house tracks, and we really couldn’t be any happier. Today, we’re premiering the Sluggers remix of said track. After gaining a bit of momentum with releases on OWSLA and Fools Gold, the Miami duo are quickly carving out a name for themselves. Enjoy their free download of Honey Dip below, and get hyped to hear more from these new kids on the block.

On the mellower side of house music, Free N Losh comes through with a wavy marimba filled jam to fill all your poolside needs. Off the new LA Imprint, Next Wave Records, the track features dreamy beach drenched vocals from Cat Lewis and a beat thrown in reverse for an intergalactic breakdown that tugs at the beat like the moon’s gravitational effect on the sea.
