Our friends at HARD are putting on one hell of a stage this August at HARD Summer here in Los Angeles — celebrating a decade of music from the lauded Ed Banger family with performances from Justice, Busy P, Breakbot, Feadz, Mr. Oizo, So Me, and more for the only US performance of the 10 Year Anniversary World Tour. WOW.
Last week we had a huge night with Bang Gang’s side project The Finger Prince and Lemonade’s Alex Pasternak tearing up the Central all the way til close. This week we keep the specialty big guns rolling with a Secret Guest headliner that will be debuting his own side project, aside from his already major act. Supporting the night is Shae B from Trippensoxx, Paul Loeb, Bangarang, and Danceism’s Dom Corleone. With only 3 weeks left @ The Central (before we move to our new venue), you don’t want to miss out on these must-see last lineups!

To get you started for whats to come this week and for the rest of the month, upcoming VERSUS act Light Year has not only just done Guest Dirt #31 for GDD, but as well given us their new Feadz remix to give away just for you dirty dancers out there…
What’s up dirty dancers? I hope your weekend was as good as mine. Personally, this was one of those weekends that was epic enough to make Monday suck even more. However, instead of trying to decide the least painful way to off myself, I have found that this particular Monday hasn’t been too terrible. Why? Because I have been bumping Marseille‘s new EP, Dak Dak all day long. A true breath of fresh air, Marseille gives us something new in a constantly over-saturated scene. The young producer has been turning heads with his intricate synthesis, complex song structure and distinct sound.
These tracks have been championed by the likes of The Proxy, Feadz and Das Glow. So don’t sleep on this dark and driving EP, it does not disappoint!
Feadz is a guy we’ve heard little from in 2010, so I was pretty surprised to hear his new EP which dropped last week on Ed Banger. Featuring big name collabs with Nightslugger L-Vis 1990, and Boys Noize, The T.U.F.F. is a versatile eight track that sees Feadz return to form. His track ‘We Got Them’ is a dope UK funky infused techno track, well worth a look, it defies all of your regular genre boundaries, and really guns for something new. Contrast on the EP is pretty vast, ranging from the frantic disco-lines of ‘Sunny View’, to banging techno tunes like ‘Dial a Tool’ and ‘Place des TUFF’.
Big fan of this EP and well worth purchasing in full on Beatport. In the meantime, check out the following:
