It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from Blatta & Inesha, but it looks like the guys have been hard at work in the studio refining their style and honing their edge as their upcoming release on BLOOD Music is absolute FIRE. Head label honcho Fake Blood has called the forthcoming two-track EP “one of [his] favorite Blood Music releases of the past while,” and Techno giant, Tiga, lends his big time support saying, “Could it be? Could I actually have gotten a dope promo…. I can step off the edge of this fucking cliff. LWTUA is great….I’ll play it for sure. Top support.”
We back the feedback from both of those guys 100%, as Low Will Tear Us Apart / East Side is one of the best releases we’ve heard in a while as well. Preview below and pick it up on February 3rd.
Theo Keating AKA Fake Blood has been given the reins to the 69th episode of the legendary FABRICLIVE mix series, with the launch scheduled for this Friday at the killer London venue with sets from Fake Blood, Boy 8-Bit, and Paul Woolford. The mix CD will be released on the 20th and will feature a grip of new and exclusive material from Keating’s Blood Music. In a different promo twist, Fabric had Fake Blood take to the streets of East London to showcase another great ability of his, graffiti art. Have a look at the video above and watch out for FABRICLIVE 69.
This week we welcome some youngbloods at VS at The Central in Santa Monica including the most junior member of the Dirtybird family, Justin Jay. We’ve been watching this guy for a bit now, and we’ve been so impressed by his original productions that we needed to bring him over to the West Side to showcase his unbelievable sound. In addition, we also have the meteorically rising Techno producer, Vakkuum, who is fresh off of a European tour, has releases on Tiga‘s Turbo Recordings, and has already gained support from Fake Blood, Brodi, Mumbai Science, and more. Come on out this week to hear the next generation of top talent.
Back in the bloghaus heyday of 2008, there was a swarm of alty babes like Lykke Li, Little Boots, and Ellie Goulding(pre-Skrillex) who banged out club-anthems religiously for about 12 months…and then it seemed they all went on permanent vacations. UK singer/songwriter Little Boots bursts out of quasi-retirement today with her new single ‘Every Night I Say A Prayer’, which is a dreamy house number produced by Hercules and Love Affair front man Andy Butler. The single is accompanied by a bumpin’ Tensnake remix that screams 80s fluoro and big hair. Download both after the jump…

It’s only perfect that Fake Blood‘s record label is called BLOOD MUSIC– but more importantly because of the procured artists that fit into his regime. The UK-based Ado is a prime recruitment, releasing The Ultra EP this week on the label. With 3 big Techno favorites and a self-inflicted remix, Ado’s EP is literally a 4-banger. My personal fav “Age” is a bleeping good time. See for yourself what everyone else said below!
Clouds: “This was always going to be amazing and yes, yes it is.”

Attaque is a new name to the Techno scene, yet his repertoire of original productions sounds like he’s been around for years. The young producer hails from Colchester, but he has now moved his studio to Brighton where he’ll hopefully be banging out more Techno tracks like the one we’re giving you below. Gaining support from the likes of Erol, Tiga, Brodinski, and Fake Blood, this lad has a good chance of being a new ‘One to Watch’ for the rest of 2011. Grab his latest track, ‘False,’ released on London’s Bad Life label below, then head over to Soundcloud to check out some other great Techno from this promising up and comer.
Our good friend John Roman has just released his Sala EP today on Plant Music, and he is being kind enough to give away the b-side to you in full quality! The track, ‘War Drums,’ has already received support from many producers including Mr. Theo Keating, AKA Fake Blood, who very eloquently pointed out the obvious, stating, “You can’t not dance to this.” We’re also excited to be in the works of collaborating with PIE Artists for a tour for John this July and August where he’ll be supporting the amazing Belgian duo, Mumbai Science, with dates from SD to SF already booked up! Make sure to keep up on John’s Facebook and head on over to Beatport to pick up the full Sala EP release today!
To cap off a massive year, BBC Radio 1’s dynamic duo Jaymo & Andy George released a power packed mix for MixMag and Moda, equipped with some of the “biggest tunes of 2010 and beyond.” Aside from the greats we already know and love, the London boys premiered Fake Blood‘s newest creation – “Medieval”. This tune makes you wanna turn a renaissance festival into a HARD festival. Speaking of – I can feel that we’ll be seeing more new greatness from Fake Blood this year, as he will be one of the headliners for the upcoming HARD Weekend, being held on March 11th-19th, in Oakland, Los Angeles, and New York City. (*This is not the full track, only a 320 rip from the full mix, so be on the look out for the actual release of the full track!)
