There’s a reason Ali Shirazinia – 1/2 of the now defunct Grammy Award-winning duo Deep Dish and currently better known as Dubfire – consistently ranks in the upper echelons of the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs list year after year. It’s because he’s just plain damn good. The dance music legend and SCI+TEC label impresario will bring his talents, along with cohorts Carlo Lio and Shaded, to Downtown Los Angeles this Saturday, and Gotta Dance Dirty will be taking over the downstairs Gallery of the increasingly infamous Insomniac presents Inception at Exchange LA to add to the festivities.
Featuring a very special first time ever b2b set by GDD‘s own Bones and Burn Unit, as well as guest appearances by Dr. Fresch and Bixel Boys, the party is sure to be pumping no matter which room you find yourself in.
Please email names to RSVP@gottadancedirty.com to be on our discount guestlist for the evening. All names must be submitted before 5:00PM on Saturday, 2/23.

After a number of releases with support from names like Mikix the Cat, Angel Stoxx, Trockensaft, Umek, Dubfire and many more, Dark & stormy brings us a new EP. As suspected, he delivers full force with this new Ep Dance to This out on Metamimetic Records.
While sticking to his roots and maintaining his signature Tech House and Tropical sound, Dark & Stormy adds a more accessible element to the lead track “We’re Gonna’ Have a Good Time” which is a all out party tune for ANY occasion. Harkening back to the days of parachute pants and bad hair, this 90’s house stomper brings the heat with a great mixture of 90’s house, Tech House and Hip House.

3 weeks ago London based Boiler Room took their gear over to Amsterdam Dance Event for an afternoon broadcast from the Minus label. Sets on the day came from Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Seth Troxler, and Ambivalent, and it was probably the most impressive Boiler Room we’ve seen to date. Take a listen to this recording of Richie Hawtin doing what he does best:
