When this show was first announced I couldn’t believe it. Jamie XX — the musical prodigy illustrious for his percussive talent in UK Platinum band The XX as well as his solo work remixing the likes of Gil Scott-Heron, Florence + The Machine, and Adele — is coming to Hollywood to throw down a DJ set atop the roof of The W Hotel at Drai’s. But wait, it gets better. Joining Jamie in the black Red Bull booth will be another GDD™ long-time favorite, Jacques Greene, the soulful and extremely talented producer out of Montreal. If you trust anything we’ve ever told you here on GDD™, listen to me now. Check out this show and we promise you will not regret it.

I love 3 day weekends. It always feels like I have 2 Fridays and Monday feels like Sunday. Couldn’t ask for anything better than that. On that note, the GDD™ crew will be heading out to Drai’s in Hollywood tonight for a DJ set from DFA Records‘ Holy Ghost! and some Sunday Funday antics. If you have yet to come out to Drai’s on a Dim Mak Sunday so far, this would be a perfect time to come check it out. Dress sharp you good lookin’ kids.

What a weekend it’s been so far, and there’s still one more event tonight on our schedule. Our friends at Dim Mak will be hosting Felix Cartal and Harvard Bass at Drai’s in Hollywood for an amazing party to culminate your weekend. It’s a special night for Felix, as he’ll be celebrating the release of ‘Don’t Turn On The Lights,’ which came out on Dim Mak in December.
After a surprise set by Steve Aoki and a stellar show by Zedd last week, Dim Mak Sundays welcomes one of the top ranked DJs in the world – Joachim Garraud to the decks of Drai’s Hollywood. Conquering huge performances at Coachella and Ultra Music Festival this year, this is a rare opportunity to see one of the best in such an intimate venue. Joining will be the last west-coast stop for aussie Anna Lunoe, if you haven’t gotten a chance to see her then you don’t wanna miss this one… and did I mention it’s all FREE?
We’re looking forward to another Sunday here in Los Angeles. This weekend, Dim Mak will be hosting a DJ set by the groundbreaking Funky Electro duo, Chromeo, at the sexy Drai’s in Hollywood. Our own BONES will be warming up the dancefloor for a smashing good time, and on top of that, we’ll be celebrating the birthday of our good friend and Dim Mak workhorse, Bryan Linares.
