Don Diablo & CID swap out their big-room sound for groovy vibes in their debut release on Steve Angello’s X label. Previously premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection last week, “Got Me Thinkin’” takes on booty bass characteristics with a bumpin’ kick-driven bassline and percussive accents. Don Diablo & CID have taken things a bit deeper for a club-ready offering. Have a listen after the jump.

So how was everyone’s Friday last week? If any of you can say that you made it out of the Avalon without sweating through your shirt I just wouldn’t believe you. Last week recorded the largest capacity that any CONTROL or Avaland night has ever had, proving once again that there is no substitute for hard-hitting electronic music in the city of Los Angeles. We thank you all for making CONTROL what it is every week, and it really is all of you fans and enthusiasts that keep this shit going.
Dutchman Don Diablo‘s just come out with a brand new remix of Gorillaz ‘Superfast Jellyfish’. Maybe the third one we’ve featured on GDD, this track’s pretty sick as the the Don’s upped the bpm and still kept the strings present in the background. Catchy tune.
For those of you not able to make the trek out to Miami next weekend, don’t fret for there will be a killer show at the Avalon, just like every Friday. Headlining the night will be the Chicago native duo Santiago & Bushido, and if you’ve seen their DJ sets before you know what a flawless performance those guys put on. Supporting S&B will be blog phenomenon Don Diablo. I’m actually a bit bummed that I won’t be able to make it this Friday as I’ve wanted to see this guy for a long time, and his recent collaborations with Sidney Samson have been absolutely killer. So wipe that Miami-less frown upside-down and come shake it in Hollywood next Friday.
Heavy Bass Champions of the World Vol. I is the Trouble & Bass crew’s first release of 2010 and it also marks the beginning of a new series of releases from T&B that are strictly made for the dancefloor. The first volume features Drop the Lime’s newest release titled Doomsday Device. Doomsday Device is described as ” a post apocalyptic death rave dance floor destroyer.” I can definitely see this song destroying a dancefloor nearest you in the close future. Check it out:
