The deeper half of Dave Spoon aka Shadow Child has been on a warpath since his emergence in 2012. With an already incredible roster of production done this year, Shadow Child takes his new remixes for a ride: to the jungle for A-Trak & Zinc‘s “Stingray” and to the deep end for Miguel Campbell‘s new “Rockin’ Beats.” Both out on October 15th – do NOT sleep on these.

!BONUS!

• A-Trak & Zinc – Stingray (Shadow Child Remix) Coming out on Fool’s Gold  10.15.12
• Miguel Campbell – Rockin’ Beats (Shadow Child Remix) Coming out on Hot Creations 10.15.12

Rising Canadian duo, Botnek, will be heading across the Atlantic this week for their 2nd European tour commencing this Friday, March 2nd at the famed Fabric London in Farringdon. The night features the Room One residency from UK wobblers, Jack Beats, and they have curated the full lineup for the other two rooms including B2B sets from Benga & Youngman as well as DJ Zinc & MC Script. Sounds like a pretty great night is in the works.

Read on to download the mix full of new originals and exclusives and see what Botnek have to say about their upcoming set! Continue Reading

What’s up durrrty dancers?! This may seem a bit like deja vu but allow me to introduce myself as the latest addition to the GDD fam. My name’s Freddie, I’m from London, UK and currently living in LA, so I’m going to be repping (Great) Britain – which is no easy task. Without further ado, here are a few tunes that I’m all about right now…

Douster – King of Africa (Homework edit)
Big ups to Pelski for being onto this track first – Homework have rearranged Douster’s Lion King track to make it droppable mid set.

• Human Life – We Won’t Stop (Dub mix) REMOVED BY REQUEST

Big build. Banger.

• Miike Snow – Silvia (Sinden Remix) REMOVED BY REQUEST

The best remix I’ve heard yet of a Miike Snow track – coming from my favorite former Fabric resident.

Wiley – Never Be Your Woman (Herve re-work)
Grimey goodness reworked by the man who also goes by the name of The Count.

Florence & The Machine – Rabbit Head (Slof Man & Jor-One remix)
Combo of striking dubstep and haunting vocals. Big tune.

The Qemists – Dem Na Like Me feat. Wiley (Subscape dub)
Subscape treat Ninja Tune d&b act The Qemists to a healthy dose of dubstep.

DJ Zinc – Blunt Edge (Original mix)
Standout track from Zinc’s Crack House EP. He’s also just released it with vocals from Ms. Dynamite entitled ‘Wile Out’.

+ As I’m feeling generous, here’s a BONUS from the forthcoming Rusko record:

Rusko – Your On My Mind Baby
Shouldn’t really need an anecdote. This track is the mutts nuts.

Cheers,

SweetFA
