Markus “Notch” Persson is not only known for creating one of the most popular games in electronic history, but has quickly made a presence for himself in the dance music world by hosting parties around the world with the biggest names in the scene. Amidst last week’s E3 conference in downtown Los Angeles, Notch decided to blow the roof off the gamer gathering and team up with Production Club (masters behind the visual experience of Skrillex, Zedd, Martin Garrix and more) to throw a huge party under a massive dome in the middle of the Los Angeles Coliseum.
The party featured the world’s largest inflatable dome in the world (not kidding – had to be shipped over from India just for one night) and a plethora of projectors to dance visuals across the concave canvas. The visual experience was other worldly, making you feel transported to another dimension.
Oh did we forget to mention the music? The soundtrack was provided by LA’s own Skrillex, Team Ezy and Bones, along with special guests DJ Snake and Diplo. An exclusive guest list of fans and friends made for one of the most memorable nights in the galaxy… er, so it appeared!

Ah, another year, another round of Gotta Dance Dirty’s roundup of the year’s ‘sexiest’ DJs from NYC’s very own Three Wise as well as yours truly. What started as a joke turned in to a mini internet frenzy and more importantly ignited a discussion of to what makes a DJ ‘sexy’. 2013 was a big leap for dance music, and aiding this leap was a fine selection of boys and girls who in different forms and ways got the world excited about music. It’s more than just looks, it’s more than how many groupies want to send you naked snapchats. So much more. To be a sexy DJ you have to ultimately hold your own, to be identifiable and recognizable amongst the masses as someone predominately good at their job, have their own sense of fashion, humor, and philosophies, someone who is confident in who they are and what they are capable of. In this sense, we’ve gathered our favorite ten DJs that have made an imprint on us this year, sparked a sense of excitement and wonder in our eyes, ears, and hearts.
So without further ado you can find our selection of the ten sexiest DJs of the year after the jump, my selections in BLUE and Three Wise’s in RED.

DJ Snake has been on a remixing tear lately, taking on Duck Sauce, AlunaGeorge, and as of this morning, Major Lazer. The Parisian producer has a very distinct style of bass, using elements of Hip Hop beats with bleepy Electronic leads, and Snake’s remix of Major Lazer’s “Bubble Butt” available for stream today is a prime example. “Coming soon” reads in the description on Soundcloud, so maybe we’ll be seeing an official “Bubble Butt” EP out soon?
As we near the end of July, Jonah and I have successfully celebrated both our respective birthdays this month while narrowly avoiding any serious bodily damage to ourselves or our friends (rejoice!) so we gratuitously reward you with 10 high quality MP3’s to download and carry into the weekend and the remainder of your summer.
The Parisian young gun known as DJ Snake has been riding huge hype since his breakout Bird Machine EP, and to show his fans some TLC he just released a FREE remix of AlunaGeorge‘s “You Know You Like It” on his soundcloud. The original was already a huge jam and the Bondax remix that followed bumped it up even more, but Snake’s version is pure fire no matter if you’re into trap tempos or not. Don’t sleep on this one, most definitely a summer staple.

“Grammy nominated french producer DJ Snake brings Mad Decent/Jeffree’s two huge tracks that are so big it is officially their first Double A-Side release. The first track “Bird Machine” featuring Alesia packs huge 808’s and an ever evolving bird whistle as the lead synth. Snake & Alesia have created an anthem that has been play’d out by superstar DJs Dillon Francis, Diplo, Baauer, Flosstradamus and many more! Snake follows up “Bird Machine” with “Together” an epic hardstyle homage with the wildest trap drop we’ve heard in a while.” Grab them both below!
