The San Francisco based Chris Harnett & David Carvalho aka White Noize are back at it again with more pounding pounding… DISCO music? The veteran Dj duo have just released their next EP on DJ Dan’s InStereo Recordings called WEEKEND IN CALIFORNIA, featuring “Honey Love” and “Big Bright Lights.” WhiteNoize are known for digging up old disco classics and reviving them with club electro, fidget, and tech-house body parts. Their “big room disco” sounds have earned them top rankings on Beatport several times, not to mention the support of favorites Duck Sauce, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, TJR, Stonebridge, Mustard Pimp, Treasure Fingers, and Umek (just to name a few.) These tracks are serious must haves for any DJs club sets, especially all you funky steppers out there. Check out the EP below, as well as the upcoming “Turn This Mutha Out” and a FREE download of their Cobra Starship Remix!
Finally got the green light to post this house track after it reached #1 on DJ Dan‘s label In Stereo. Danny Daze, a Miami resident who is currently involved with the Senor Stereo project which also had hits in the top 10 nu-disco charts beatport, linked up with San Francisco DJ David Carvalho to produce a bouncy low-end house tune, much of what you’d find on a Made To Play or Dirty Bird release. Really feelin the harmonica in the ‘Grandpa’s Drunk’ version.
Legendary DJ and prominent party-starter Donald Glaude will be making some noise at CONTROL this Friday at the Avalon in Hollywood. I actually saw Donald’s set at Playhouse earlier this summer with LA Riots, and let me tell you it was a loud one. I’d never heard a DJ use one before, but DG brought a truck horn along with him that shook the shit out of that club. I’m curious if he’ll have that in his arsenal on Friday. Supporting Donald’s headlining spot will be Trouble & Bass goth man Deathface, along with GDD™ buddy Rifat Ziadeh, Daniel L’Amour, and Steve Prior. Good times for all!
