There is no day that is more appropriate for slow-jams than Sunday. To my surprise, Late Nite Tuff Guy, just put out a most excellent remix of Lionel Richie’s “Easy,” and whether you’re just getting up or you’re out running errands, the smooth, sexy sounds from LNTG can be enjoyed at any time. In supplementing this awesome track, I’ve included a download of his One Nite In A Disco mix that is a must-have for any disco enthusiast. It seems as though this is just the beginning for LNTG, and I can’t wait for what’s to come from the mysterious Aussie.

Mexican producer Bufi is quickly rising as one of my favorite artists of 2012. With a distinct disco tinge to all of his tunes, they’re clearly made with the dancefloor in mind. The extended mix of ‘Will Be’ has been a secret weapon in my sets for the last few weeks, and he’s giving away 100 copies for those lucky few that are quick on the draw. The rest will have to head over to Juno and pick up the EP there that was released today on Electrique Music. For those of you living in New York, he has a few dates this month. Check those and the EP after the drop.

Earlier this week, Future Classic released a remix package for Flight Facilities new single, “With You ft. Grovesnor.” With lyrics from Hot Chip‘s drummer Grovesnor, “With You” perfectly places a story of distraught love against  a lighthearted, pop electronic backdrop. Flight Facilities commissioned remixes from two of my favorite producers, who each add a deeper and more complex sound to the track.  Danny Daze makes the track perfect for those after hours sets, while David August turns it into the perfect companion for deep contemplation on a long drive home.

Check out remixes from David August and Danny Daze after the jump!

TheFatRat is no stranger to these parts and it was only natural to feature him in a proper GDD™ Spotlight. We have his brand new logo (pictured above) and an awesome 1-hour mix, which he was so kind to do for us, that contains the premiere of the full FatRat remix of Martin Solveig’s “The Night Out,” and plenty of other excellent tracks ranging from disco to dubstep (tracklist after the jump).

Also, the blogosphere has been well acquainted with his music and some brief information about him, but we have an in-depth interview that discusses reasons behind his anonymity, his production tools, application of the Karma Sutra, something that has made the biggest impact on his life today, and much much more. Not only are we giving you an exclusive inside look into the personality of TheFatRat & a mix for your listening pleasure, but we also have him booked for his live world premiere at our VS party in Santa Monica on Thursday (4/5). If you are in the LA area, you best be there. Now, head after the jump for the interview, check out the mix, and download it for free by clicking the “Buy” button on the Soundcloud player!

As part of his 5 city US tour, Vitalic will be stopping by the El Rey Theatre on March 25th for a very special DJ Set. The French producer brings a unique emotional component to electronic music, which other artists are unable to reproduce. Flashmob, his most recent release in 2009, represents his interpretation of disco, as well as a transition away from early sounds. Vitalic’s music is full of robotic synthesizers, as he prefers to use a vocoder on most tracks, to create a sound which “achieve[s] something strange, between reality and synthetic.” Don’t miss out on one of the most influential artists in electronic music today.

In trying to keep up with the boys out in LA, I’ve been busy in trying to organize more GDD events in Miami. Our weekly Slap & Tickle party on Tuesday’s at Electric Pickle has become quite a hot little dance party (maybe in part to $2 tequila shots) that’s encouraged me to get some more events happening. On Thursday, GDD teams up with the good folks at Poplife, Super Music Group, and Grand Central to bring you two rooms of good vibes. Amtrac and Brass Knuckles will be headlining the main room, and I’ll be headlining upstairs in The Garret, debuting a bunch of new stuff I’ve been trying to finish before WMC. The show is 21+ and starts at 11pm. Pick up pre-sale tickets here.
