Crawling into the land of the living on Hallows eve, the creature is back. It took several necessary body parts to create this monster, and so the wait is finally over. I’m excited for this one because it really embodies some of the harder sets I’ve been playing lately, while also premiering some brand spankin new music from the likes of Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, Gesaffelstein, Botnek, Galantis (project trifecta of Savage Skulls, Miike Snow, Style Of Eye) and many more.  The season is upon us, so listen to this and cause some mischief and mayhem, wake the dead, dance with the devil, get high, get mid, get low – pick your poison dirty dancers, and Happy Halloween.

With support from the likes of Tiesto, Diplo, A-Trak, Chuckie, Bart B More, Dillon Francis, Style of Eye and more it’s hard to believe Wax Motif isn’t a house-hold name yet. Over the past year he has been refining his style with several top-notch remixes and his most recent work Rebecca & Fiona – Giliap (Wax Motif remix) leaves nothing to be desired. The track is a slice of electro-house heaven reminiscent of an ‘80s electro-pop film soundtrack. Combine that with the artful use of Swedish duo Rebecca & Fiona’s sultry vocals and you’ve got a track that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.  Big love for this Aussie.

Today, Fool’s Gold Records have put out three new remixes of A-Trak & Dillon Francis‘ “Money Makin’” — the feel good summertime jam released back in May. The trio of reworks hit the original from all angles; starting out with a Trap take from Oliver Twizt which adds some big time bass, high hats, and pitched down vocals. Barjo & Alban Lipp go all Electro, readying “Money Makin’” for a big room. Finally, 45 King gets comical — adding in some hilarious samples and a funky background beat. Buy the release on Beatport and stream all 3 remixes below. Continue Reading
