In 4 short days, Digitalism will be kicking off their anticipated brand new live tour across the US with the first show on Tuesday night at the Independent in San Francisco. Coinciding with this new tour is a new mix from Jence and Isi, featuring some good ol’ Techno from guys like Zombie Nation, Sharooz, and Harvard Bass, as well as their new remix of Bloc Party’s “Truth” forthcoming on Toolroom. Good news this morning from the Hamburg duo, Digitalism. The guys will be embarking on a brand new live tour starting next week in San Francisco, hitting a total of nine cities in less than two weeks. Jence and Isi reached back to their Rock roots for this US tour, booking smaller, live music venues like the Independent in SF, the Bluebird Theater in Denver, and the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles. Additionally, the guys have two upcoming remixes for Bloc Party and The Rapture on Toolroom, which leads us to believe that Digitalism is coming back to their Rock/Indie meets Electronic origins. Excellent.
The folks at Epiphany Presents are putting on quite the party next Thursday, Feb. 28th at Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles, with sets from Digitalism, Switch, Classixx, Rhythm Monks, and more. German duo Digitalism are no strangers to crafting anthemic tracks for the masses, as 2005′s worldwide hit ‘Zdarlight’ proved. As some of you may or may not know, we’ve started up a new project here at GDD™, bringing in a video element to the brand called GDD.tv. Our team (big shout out to Alex, Laura D + KMOC) was hard at work out in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago; locking down interviews with some of the scene’s best musicians that were out in the desert for the biggest dance music festival in North America. Our brilliant videographer, Alexander Jacob, has put together a teaser video of some of the artists that we had the pleasure of chatting with, so have a quick watch and keep an eye out for the full interviews to surface in the near future!

After arguably the biggest VS we’ve ever had last week with a special guest set from DIGITALISM, we’re back this week with a showcase of LA talent that are making some big moves in the scene. Our good friends from gLAdiator won this year’s Discovery Project from Insomniac, getting them a spot on the lineup for Electric Daisy Carnival this month. We’ll also be celebrating the EP release of Dom Corleone, a VS veteran and ultimate crowd-pleaser. Support will come from some of our favs: Bastille, Gojira, and Justin Cornwall. Let’s ride the energy from last week into a good one this Thursday!
