Chic feat. Nile Rogers, Giorgio Moroder, Tensnake, Oliver, and Destructo. Woah. The biggest names in Disco from the past two decades all in one sentence, all on one bill, this coming May, as presented by HARD. With their Dischoteque stage in recent years, HARD has given the nod to the timeless genre on multiple occasions, but this time they give it the spotlight for what is sure to be a transcendent timeline of Disco’s existence in the modern dance music industry. On one hand you have the men who have virtually given birth to the movement, men who have worked with the legends your parents used to get down to. Then on the other, the producers who have/are keeping the genre alive in it’s current state. You have the chance to hear history unfold, a chance to understand an idea that has managed to keep it’s footing all this time. Continue Reading

Alex Metric and Destructo have been working together in the studio as of late for a single due out on OWSLA in early January, and complementing the new release will be a number of shows kicking off in Miami just before Holy Ship! and culminating in Los Angeles at Exchange in DTLA on the first of February. Keep up with tour info and tickets on the tour website — theUK2LAtour.com.
The clouds have finally broken as HARD maestro Destructo has finally dropped his much anticipated HIGHER EP today, being released on both OWSLA and Boysnoize Records (and making for one hell of a debut). CO-produced with U-Tern, The EP single features a special extended mix, along with 2 monstrous remixes from Tommy Trash and Brodinski, both flexing their styles respectively onto the already anthemic original. The package also includes the B side “2112″, which highlights Destructo’s obsession with technology and futuristic sounds as the bouncing bass ebbs and flows from beginning to end.
Listen below, and make sure to pick up the EP today on Beatport!
It’s time for the weekend – and what better way to kick it off with a special HARD edition of The Dirt, bringing you (15) tracks to pump all the way through. We welcome the HARD bossman Destructo to the selection, along with his #2, mister D BELL himself and our very own BONES. Some of these you can download (where you see the DL link given), but some you just have to listen and wait because they’re either too good to be FREE or their quite frankily not even out yet. All in all, gems abound. Dig in, my weekend warriors.

Take a drive with Destructo and Oliver through scenic LA and get ready to get your dance on! This latest video from the LA native will certainly have you groovin’ in your seats or dancing in your office if you’re anything like me.
These sweet shots of Little Tokyo, Venice Beach boardwalk, Hollywood Boulevard and LACMA have me longing to move out west and flee from the frigid NYC weather. Enjoy!

TONIGHT the Avalon in Hollywood will play host to a mind-blowing, highly anticipated live set from Ed Banger‘s SebastiAn. It’s been over 4 years since the last time I saw SebastiAn when he played one of the best dance music events I’ve ever attended.
