Thee Cool Cats are a new Deep House/Nu-Disco duo from Mexicali, Baja California, one half coming from The Disco Villains & the other from Take Off.  To properly introduce themselves, the guys have given us two exclusive tracks to give away!

Gangsta Lean brings together deep house and hip hop influenced samples, thus, G-House.

Mexican producer Bufi is quickly rising as one of my favorite artists of 2012. With a distinct disco tinge to all of his tunes, they’re clearly made with the dancefloor in mind. The extended mix of ‘Will Be’ has been a secret weapon in my sets for the last few weeks, and he’s giving away 100 copies for those lucky few that are quick on the draw. The rest will have to head over to Juno and pick up the EP there that was released today on Electrique Music. For those of you living in New York, he has a few dates this month. Check those and the EP after the drop.

The southern-cal homegrown indie electro band American Royalty recently released a huge remix package for their newest singles. The Matchstck Remixes EP comes loaded with 6 wildly different remixes of 3 original tracks: 2 bassline driven versions by dirtybird’s own J.Phlip, a deep techno side from Bang Gang’s Light Year, and 3 breakthrough productions from young guns Richnuss, Stryker Matthews, and Slates.

The J.Phlip and Light Year remixes are of course top notch, but my favorite is the ‘high brow deep house with a garnish of disco’ mix by Richnuss (comprised of Billy Scher of American Royalty and Peter Nussbaum of Guns In The Sun). You decide – the EP is completely for FREE DOWNLOAD from their facebook page!

Little is known about the incognito artist/duo/group/robots Letthemusicplay besides the name reference to Shannon’s 1983 chart topping single titled, you guessed it, “Let the Music Play.” Mixmag, A-Trak, and The 2 Bears are supporting their first release titled “Space,” and DFA RecordsJacques Renault added his magic touch with a dark disco remix.  Letthemusicplay also remixed the track, turning it into a deep disco hit. What I do know is that Letthemusicplay is/are someone to look out for in 2012.

Check out the two remixes after the jump!
