Once dubbed by Mixmag as their “Future Hero,” the UK based Denney returns to a label he holds dear to his heart. His latest EP, Visualize, is framed around the many different aspects of the night, he says “All the tracks were approached slightly differently when I was making them, I was aiming them for different parts of the night and inspired by different dance floors.” The title track, as premiered below, sets the tone with a house driven beat and heady vocals that would transcend any dance floor scenario. With a bit of an acid break at the end, “Visualize” kicks off his latest EP with a bang so be sure to cop when it’s released on May 27th on the legendary Crosstown Rebels.

Damian Lazarus’ Day Zero is undeniably one of the most sought-after events that takes place in the midst of BPM Festival, and it’s looking like this year’s edition on January 8th will be one for the books. Featuring a stacked lineup of Acid Pauli, Bedouin, Blond:ish, Damian Lazarus, DJ Three, Eduardo Castillo, Felix da Housecat, Fur Coat, LUM, Metrika, and Serge Devant, this event will have the perfect soundtrack for your mystical experiences at its new Tulum jungle location. On top of the world-class talent, and the one-of-a-kind location, Day Zero has partnered up with the visionary event crafters Red Moon, spearheaded by Cirque Du Soleil Founder Guy Laliberte, for immersive environments fused with the area’s wilderness. Trust us, don’t sleep on this party and buy tickets here.
“There is a magical and irresistible energy about Tulum that has really affected how I live my life. When you combine amazing music and wonderful people in a place like Tulum, it becomes much more than just another party. Day Zero is a chance to connect with loved ones, re-engage spiritually with the stars and planets, engage in some ancient and primal rituals, and generally experience something you simply can’t find anywhere else. I am profoundly happy to announce our return in 2016.” – Damian Lazarus
With new festivals spawning in all corners of the United States and abroad, it’s easy for an event to fly under the radar, but San Diego’s CRSSD Festival harnessed our attention with its outstanding music programming, gorgeous venue, and more. After an anxious few months, the long-awaited festival finally descended upon the bay front park, and thousands upon thousands attended to experience a summery soirée helmed by some of the world’s finest producer/DJs and musicians like Maceo Plex, Chromeo, Hot Natured, Robert Delong, GDD™ homies Thomas Jack, Viceroy, Bixel Boys, and SNBRN, amongst others. By now, you’ve probably heard that CRSSD Festival was a great success, but in our minds, it was the perfect way to kick off festival season.

REBELRAVE TV never disappoints!
Crosstown Rebels has enlisted T-E-E-D. to mix the Get Lost VI compilation, getting us very excited for perhaps our finest night of the summer, if not the year… GET LOST LA. Digging very deep, quirky, soulful, a very nice eclectic mix of treats and treasures– particularly the end of track #4, Axel Boman – Klinsmann. So cosmic.
Toronto’s deepest duo Art Department has transcended the spirit of Burning Man’s ‘Robot Heart’ into an original production with the help of Blud, Shaun Reeves (VisionQuest) and Damian Lazarus. The deep house kingpins are celebrating the infamous Burning Man camp – with a remix competition on hosted on beatport! Riding off an official remix for Azari & III, our Dim Mak friends VCO have stepped up to the task and have delivered a wave of techno atop a rolling basslin driving their version. Check it out below and VOTE for their remix! Plus, since VCO are veteran-burners, they figured “joining in this contest would be fairly fitting.”
LA! Where will you be on New Years Eve?
Sure there are plenty of goings on around the area, but GDD would like to personally suggest the place to be as we ring in 2013. Insomniac has teamed up with Exchange in downtown LA to bring you a monumental night of music thats sure to go til the break of dawn. In the main room (top floor), techno legends Sasha and Adam Beyer will be in control of the decks, while deeper heavyweights Art Department and Damian Lazarus will be holding down Room 2 (bottom floor). You can fist pump your life away any other night – we highly recommend educating yourself with some of the best in electronic music as we ring in the new year.

Day Zero is now just over a month away. The monumental 24-hour event sitting between a pyramid site in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, not only due to it falling on the day that the Mayan calendar ends but also it’s incredible lineup with some of the best talent in the world. Damian Lazarus, the man behind Crosstown Rebels and the Day Zero concept, has put together a new mix which he dubbed the “Sound of the Mayan Spirit.” If I were to celebrate the end of the current world cycle, I think I’d want this to be the soundtrack. Download the mix below until December 3rd, and pick up tickets to the festival here. √+
