Fresh from destroying dance floors down under, Jack Beats are returning to the UK to headline “The Revolution Tour.” The dynamic duo of Ben Geffin & Niall Dailly are working alongside the masters behind Deadmau5 & Daft Punk’s live production, The Bionic League, to “revolutionize” their live show. The age of DJ’s performing on a table is over, as fans and artists are demanding visual components from shows. “The Revolution Tour” goes one step further, incorporating seizure-inducing visual elements with a fan based social media component. Fans can upload photos to the Jack Beats Facebook and become part of the production.

As we wait (optimistically) for the return of the infamous robot duo, we have remixes of their tracks to delve into and this production from the rising Los Angeles dubstep producer, Schoolboy, is an excellent reinvention of the Daft Punk classic, “Da Funk”. In the beginning, Schoolboy introduces the old familiar melody early on, teases with a pre-build up, and then the actual build up sets in with great positioning of a sample until the massive drop. Don’t let your tiny laptop speakers hold you back, be sure to play this through a large system with plenty of bass (or good headphones) to experience it’s full potential.

TONIGHT the Avalon in Hollywood will play host to a mind-blowing, highly anticipated live set from Ed Banger‘s SebastiAn. It’s been over 4 years since the last time I saw SebastiAn when he played one of the best dance music events I’ve ever attended. With a newly orchestrated live set as well as supporting sets from Sharooz, Destructo, Brazzabelle, and Andy D’Arrigo, I’m sure this will be a night of CONTROL to remember.
