When you go out in the Big Apple, you don’t just go out….you go out with a vengeance. With a constant supply of excellent party options, party-hopping becomes an art that only the most hardy of partiers can properly perform. Well, as a tried and true “party animal” I started my New Years celebrations early and have the battle scars to prove it. Check out my insane NYE weekend after the jump and find out all the debauchery I got up to over the last few days…and don’t miss my chat with RUSKO about drugs, the holidays and his plan to release all his future music for free!

As the dance music scene gains more and more popularity it seems like the talent continues to get better at a younger age. The 17 year old Caveat is the newest name on the scene with his remix of “Make It Bun Dem” by Skrillex and Damian Marley.
Turning this Dancehall, reggae infused track into a top Electro banger, Caveat has continued his streak of top notch remixes. Don’t believe me, check out his remix of Dada Life – Happy Violence and Feed Me – Strange Behavior (bonus free download on his Soundcloud). With support already coming from the likes of Tiesto this young producer is definitely one to watch.

Eden Anderson AKA Special Features is rapidly becoming the next big thing in Progressive House. With multiple #1 spots on Hype Machine and the winning pick of Dada Life‘s ‘Happy Violence’ remix contest already under his belt, it’s a only a short matter of time that this lad from London heads over to the US to make some serious moves. On that note, last week Special Features put out a fantastic new hands up Prog House original on his Soundcloud and graciously made it free for download on his Facebook. It’s a massive one that you can expect to be played out by big guns at festivals around the globe this summer. Stream it below and head on over to his Facebook for the free download. √+ Continue Reading
It was fleeting like a hot hand at the blackjack table, and just like that we were back home in Los Angeles wondering how a hectic weekend in the desert went by so fast. It was Thursday, and I had the grandiose idea of starting the weekend off by catching Richie Hawtin at Drai’s, a dark club in the underbelly of the Las Vegas Strip that played host to some of the biggest names in Techno over the weekend. Word was he wasn’t starting until 4AM, so that left some time for a quick pitstop at Benny Benassi at the Cosmopolitan Hotel’s Marquee Nightclub. Marquee is what Vegas is all about. Scantily glad girls and even more scantily clad employees, and enough energy in the air to get everyone through till morning even without however many Redbull vodkas they may have in their system. Homemade studio videos from the Dada Life boys have to be some of the most entertaining assets that come through our inbox, and the latest episode from the Swedes takes a bit of a different direction that what we’ve previously seen from them. The guys have been hard at work in their studio, where Ollé has told us they get started early every morning rather than doing late night sessions like many other producers. Their new album is coming along, and they’ve asked their fans to chime in regarding whether or not to add vocals to the new production they’ve put together. Have a watch/listen to the video above, and comment below with what you think they should do with this new jam.
