We’ve already seen some huge and long awaited releases drop this early in the year, but this EP is sure to take the taco. Our boy Clockwork is finally releasing his much anticipated Squad Up EP Tuesday, March 13th on Dim Mak Records – featuring the heavily supported ‘Squad Up,’ the techno darkside in ‘Hulk’ and the big room monster ‘Nox.’ If that wasn’t enough, the EP has also procured explosive remixes by Dillon Francis, Botnek, and Torro Torro, plus a special vocal edit of Squad Up. The self-titled tune is already receiving incredible support and is on target to be one of the top tunes of the year (not to mention a huge Beatport chart contender).
Alright you crazy kids, this week the 64th edition of the dirt is being brought to you by GDD ruffians BONES and Tre. The first 5 tracks that Bones has chosen are a select group of big room DJ edits and bootlegs that are meant to light the fire under your fanny and prepare you for one hell of a festival season. The second 5 tunes that Tre has chosen showcase a variety of his favorite genres that peak his interest right now in each category. So go ahead and collect-em-all, your ears are depending on it!
Everybody give it up for Clockwork – not only is it his 21st birthday, but he’s giving us the exclusive on his new bootleg – this time upgrading the classic Beastie Boys jam ‘Sabotage’. Coming off the most popular remix of Levels, I wouldn’t doubt the quality behind this one by any sake. Here’s what he had to say personally to the GDD nation:
