This week we drop back into the groove with Mexicali’s burgeoning deep house duo, Climbers. Their guest mix exemplifies how they have been making a name for themselves in the underground with their signature sound that includes a unique blend of “classic house percussions, emphatic bass lines, old school vocal sampling and atmospheric synth pads.” With a forthcoming OFF Recordings release and the launching of their own label with an original track and remix by Frankie Knuckles on the horizon, Climbers show no signs of slowing down.

It’s time to set the mood for the upcoming months with the next installment of my bi-annual/seasonal mixtape series: aRod’s FallGaze 2012 Mix. The mixtape is chock full of lustful indie grooves, steamy disco + deep, sleazy house. Hot tracks from heavy hitters like Anna Lunoe, Disclosure and Van She along with some unreleased heaters from Benoit & Sergio, MANIK feat. Jeremy Glenn and Sure Thing…this mix should keep you warm and electrified from Fall all the way through Winter.

On July 30th, the spectacular Mexican duo, Climbers, released their most recent EP, 2 Come Back – the second release put out on the Los Angeles label, Culprit, after debuting their first EP back in May. “2 Come Back” is a great Deep House track and a product of an obvious industriousness in the studio from Jay Blakk and Kiko Deal. The EP features the original as well as 2 remixes from fellow South American up and comers, Fur Coat, and Hot Creations legend, Miguel Campbell, providing for one hell of a release. Today, the guys have put together a promo mix to accompany 2 Come Back, and it’s just the right temperature to get you through this Wednesday. Don’t sleep on these guys, folks. √+

The great music in the month of May has led me to the decision of throwing together a chart of my top 10 tracks for your listening pleasure. Variety and quality were of the highest importance while I was making my selections, so grab your headphones or plug into your speakers, you’ll be dancing round the room in no time. Enjoy the chart after the jump!
