Cashmere Cat has made a name for himself in the DJ world at the DMC championships, but has recently started to acquire a following for his production abilities. His single, “Mirror Maru” did so well, in fact, that a remix EP is due out soon on Pelican Fly records. As an Easter goody, though, he has chosen to release a remix that Brodinski and Guillaume (of The Shoes) put together for him on Cashmere Cat‘s soundcloud. The comment, “This took the original and flipped it completely on its head,” from ohWut said it best, because very little of the original is left to be recognized. The dramatic strings put you on edge as the piano comes in to iron out any tension the climactic builds may have caused, as a completely new track rises to the surface.

In coming weeks, GDD™ will be joining forces with our friends around the world for collaborative editions of The Dirt. All 10 are available for download, so head on after the jump to see what we have in store for you this week!
