Our Toronto boys Meech & Rynecologist have finally fused into one force known as RYME – releasing their debut BAK DEN EP on BoysNoize records label TRAX. The two have shown a variety of styles in their solo productions – but their love for old school Chicago House, Detroit Techno and Baltimore Club led the way in inspiration for their debut EP “BAK DEN”. This collaborative debut is an homage to a music scene which was underground, simple and real. The EP already has support from the likes of Sinden, Brodinski, Crookers, Toddla T, and the BNR crew – not to mention is climbing the Beatport TECHNO charts… Listen below and grab it now on beatport!

The longer I’ve known Boys Noize the more I’ve truly began to hone in on exactly how wonderfully awkward the guy really is… from his unibrow to his white pants to his weird instagrams and most recently his totally allovertheplace new EP (BTW you should really click on all those hyperlinks) that goes from Disco to straight up Hardstyle in one fell swoop. Since I pretty much base most of my humor off of awkwardness, obviously das German tekno god ya (that’s Boys Noize, duh) keeps a very close place in my heart.

Speaking of the new EP, although my personal favorite is with the raved-out “Push Em Up” – he’s just dropped the music video for the honorary disco tune of the Go Hard EP, “Starwin”. True to form, Boys Noize keeps it nice and campy with the video, chock full of some pretty tite rollerskate dance routines and (like all moments on the Venice boardwalk) a selection of interesting characters. Keep on keepin it weird, Alex… I and many of us love you for it.

The clouds have finally broken as HARD maestro Destructo has finally dropped his much anticipated HIGHER EP today, being released on both OWSLA and Boysnoize Records (and making for one hell of a debut). CO-produced with U-Tern, The EP single features a special extended mix, along with 2 monstrous remixes from Tommy Trash and Brodinski, both flexing their styles respectively onto the already anthemic original. The package also includes the B side “2112″, which highlights Destructo’s obsession with technology and futuristic sounds as the bouncing bass ebbs and flows from beginning to end.
