What’s good Dirty Dancers?! It gives us great pleasure to announce our first ever European show, which we’re throwing in connection with Metamimetic at London’s legendary East Village on Friday 29 October! We’ve curated a lineup which includes very special friends, but also some of the freshest talent the electronic music scene has to offer. After all it’s Halloween, so the emphasis is on blooding new artists…

This absolutely mind-blowing lineup looks to be the icing on the cake of a British Summer. With more of a trance-house / electro divide between the two days, SW4 caters for a wide spectrum of music lovers, wiith the best lineup I’ve seen in the seven years it’s been running. Saturday features Armin Van Buuren, John Digweed, Oakenfold and Toolroom Knights, so it’s going to be a case of cherry picking acts, as the lineup is so densely packed with big names. On Sunday, the legendary Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim will be throwing down his only London live set of 2010. Words can’t truly express how incredible Fatboy Slim’s live shows are; it’s something everyone should experience – I’m so psyched on this one. The BNR Arena’s lineup is stacked with some of the biggest names in electro, while the Together Arena features another enthralling Skream v Benga dub-off. I’m speculating here, but with Ms. Dynamite on the lineup, I’d imagine Zinc is the special guest we’ll be wiling out to. Time will tell, but what’s for absolute certain is that GottaDanceDirty™ will be giving you only the best coverage of the weekend. It’s four months down the line, but passes will sell out so be sure to get on it early.

The wait is over. After weeks of tuning into previews and teasers, the Avalanche / Lemonade EP from Erol Alkan and Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize, dropped today on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound label. The followup to 2009′s Waves / Death Suite EP comes just in time for WMC in Miami next week, where the two will be performing together. Stay tuned this week for WMC news and an exclusive Ultra mix from GDD™’s very own ///BONES. But in meantime though, these should tide you over and set the soundtrack to another hectic weekend:
Shadow Dancer is coming at you live this Friday at CONTROL. Straight from the United Kingdom, the duo is signed onto Alex Ridha’s Boys Noize Records along with other electro greats such as D.I.M., Les Petits Pilous, and of course Boys Noize. I actually saw the boys from Shadow Dancer at a BNR party in Amsterdam last year and their set was fantastic. Expect nothing less this Friday when the two rip the Avalon apart. Our good friends sweetFA, Travis, sweatpants, and Thousandaire will be holding down The House Party in the room to the right of the stage just in case you would like an extra serving of bass and bangers.
As many of you know, Alex Ridha has just released his new album ‘Power’ on Boys Noize Records a few days ago, and he has also embarked on his ‘Power World Tour’ where he will be making numerous stops around the globe including the New Year’s Eve show at the Hollywood Palladium. In a very respectful homage to what Boys Noize has given to the electronic music world, producers MMMatthias and dAi have come together to rework the new album, and they have definitely given a great nod to one of the best producers out there today. Be sure to check out these edits and head over to Amazon or iTunes to purchase the album and support the noize!
