To celebrate the last VS of the year (and the end of the world as we know it?), we’re teaming up with our friends at The Well to bring you a SECRET GUEST (Boys Noize Records) all the way from France. Supporting the night will be a special b2b set from our own Troy Kurtz & Bones, along with a birthday performance from Ben Oprstu and sets from SF’s Realboy and Option4. Can you say, techno?
Chicago is taking over LA this Friday @ CONTROL… To celebrate our midway homies making the trek out here, BONES has teamed up with Chi-town’s resident hero DJ PHNM for the 98th edition of the dirt, and very dirty one at that. BONES gives you a taste of everything per usual, and PHNM gives you the best of the snare rolls. No more explaining – we shall cut just cut to the chase and provide you with boomin tunes. Enjoy.
We’ve been big supporters of T&B for years now, and we love when the Brooklyn Bass collective brings their sounds over to the left coast. This Saturday, we’re teaming up with our friends at iheartcomix for a massive event at one of our favorite venues, The Central in Santa Monica, where Drop the Lime will be headlining the night with a massive underbill featuring T&B’s The Captain, Tamara Sky, BONES, and CC Sheffield. Coincidentally, Trouble & Bass just put out a new mix today, featuring 12 collaborations with artists around the world, “spanning the gamut between house, dubstep, club music and rap — often all within the same tune.”
Well this should be a rager. We’ve teamed up with Hyundai‘s Re:Mixlab and Elektro Magazine for a FREE event this Saturday in Downtown Los Angeles with a festival-style lineup including Switch, Brenmar, BetaTraXx, Whiiite, Bones, and Bixel Boys. If the lineup and free entry didn’t give you some movement in the lumber yard, how about an open bar from doors until close? Yep, it’s happening.
RSVP is required for entry. Just sign up HEREand arrive early!
Crawling into the land of the living on Hallows eve, the creature is back. It took several necessary body parts to create this monster, and so the wait is finally over. I’m excited for this one because it really embodies some of the harder sets I’ve been playing lately, while also premiering some brand spankin new music from the likes of Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, Gesaffelstein, Botnek, Galantis (project trifecta of Savage Skulls, Miike Snow, Style Of Eye) and many more. The season is upon us, so listen to this and cause some mischief and mayhem, wake the dead, dance with the devil, get high, get mid, get low – pick your poison dirty dancers, and Happy Halloween.
BURNS is back at VS! This Thursday we welcome our friends at Get Shifty for a massive takeover at The Central in Santa Monica with a returning VS set from our friend BURNS as well as support from BONES, Neo Fresco, Gojira, Dom Corleone, and Korova.
