Last night we were tuned in to the Radiohead takeover of Boiler Room at Corsica Studios in London. Fantastic sets all night, but I was most impressed with Dan Snaith aka Caribou, whose track selection throughout his set with Jamie XX was utterly brilliant.
This year, Caribou’s been releasing quite a bit of material under his Daphni alias, the most recent of which came in the form of the Ne Noya EP, which dropped last week on Snaith’s own Jiaolong imprint. The three-track, vinyl only release, features an edit and 2 Daphni originals, and it’s the B-side ‘Yes, I Know’ that really stands out – a ballsy slowburner that combines acid with soul:
