You might not think that living on the coast of Italy with your studio overlooking the Mediterranean would invoke you to make such sick, sadistic, and depraved Techno, but if you think this impossible then I think that you obviously don’t know Blatta & Inesha. I’ll let the below artist testimonials speak for the music, but I suggest you tell that bitch Siri inside your phone to set a reminder for August 27th, when you’ll finally be able to catch a glimpse of these warlocks in your Shopping Cart on Beatport via Bad Life.

Stream the EP from the artwork above (make sure to check my personal favorite little bass gremlin, Lights Over Phoenix) and keep reading after the jump to get more Blatta & Inesha, including an exclusive mixtape, from Gotta Dance Dirty.

nou·veau /noo’vo/
Adjective:
1. Modern; up to date.
2. New and different, often fashionably so.

Music is constantly changing, evolving, progressing. As we explored about a year ago – when debate erupted over our 2010 ‘Part V’ wrap-up – Techno isn’t a specific sound; Techno is a lifestyle, a dingy basement and a 6am sunrise, an attitude, and nothing right now is oozing this attitude quite like the sounds of Italian duo Blatta & Inesha.

They’ve coined their music “Techno Nouveau,” and here it is. True to form the mixing is spot-fucking-on, with my favorite transition clocking in just after the 37-minute mark, straight into their recent Dim Mak release Senegal.

GDD™ also wants you to help us help the artists help you. As of this writing, B&I are 89 ‘Likes’ away from 13,000 on Facebook, and recent collab partners and rising LA duo Casino Gold are closing in on 2,000. Help us push these numbers to the next level by reposting, sharing, tweeting, re-blogging this mix, etc., and GDD™ will release an exclusive firsthand preview of their new collab Consign to Oblivion, due out next year! Trust me, I have the full version and listened to it about 40 times last week! So get the mix (click the artwork above), and then get the track listing for this stellar mix after the jump.

Combining everything we love about searing, pounding Techno with the punk rock angst and energy of Electro of recent years, Blatta & Inesha have hit their stride in the last year and the catalog definitely reflects that.

With recent releases on Dim Mak Records, including Senegal and Dirty Knees (a collaboration with pals Mustard Pimp) a massive, banging techno remix of Meat Katie’s Bizarre Is Beautiful and a pumping remix of Dilemn and Youthstar’s Better World (OUT TODAY) the guys are poised for take-off!

Have a listen to the tunes below and follow the purchase links below to Beatport. ‘Like’ the fellas on Facebook too so you can keep up on all their travels and tunes!

I remember when Blatta & Inesha came on to the scene back in 2009. They were dubbed by many at the time as the “next Crookers,” due to their banging Electro style and the fact that they are a duo from Italy. Since then, they’ve had releases on some of the heaviest hitting Electro labels in the game including Dim Mak, Lektroluv, Crux, and Lee Mortimer’s Wearhouse label. Well, Los Angeles, we are bringing the guys to you this week for a massive VS. event on the West Side along with support from DJ Shae B, Ben Oprstu, La Muerte, and Mr. Metronomo.

The event is FREE before 11PM, but you must RSVP at DANCEiSM.com.

LOCATION:
The Central: Social Aide & Pleasure Club
1348 14th Street Santa Monica, CA 90404
Thursday, July 14th

What a butt, right? Anyway, I’d like to thank you all for your feedback on the recent Dirts that we’ve been putting up in past weeks. We know you guys all love your free music, but we also want to make you all aware of great new tracks that big time artists are playing out that you may not have heard of before. Therefore, we will be keeping The Dirt to tracks available for download, zipped up tight for your bulky pleasure. In addition, we will be starting up a new Artist Chart-type feature where artists will throw us 10-15 tracks that they’re fond of. Not sure what to name it yet, so if you guys have any ideas feel free to comment below. We’d love to hear your input.

This week, Troy Kurtz and I decided to do a double-team Dirt for you guys. Each of us took a completely different take on these tunes, so don’t be surprised that his 6 have absolutely no relation to my 6. TK has used his recent trip to ATL as an inspiration, and I just felt like it was necessary to go with some of the bigger House tracks that have been in heavy rotation since last Monday. Let us know what you think! Tunes after the jump. Continue Reading
