Had the pleasure of listening to this jam in the studio as it took shape, and remember thinking what an amazing combo. Now, it has arrived at my door, and honestly a lot different than I remember. It always was special, but now its sexy, and the diamond is polished. Dig in below!

The Brothers Bix are back with their sophomore video from their sophomore EP, and in the true style and embrace of the #FREELIFE culture they so cheekily broadcast, it’s SPORTS. To be more specific, the video revolves around the Fab 5, who in their own way embrace the #FREELIFE style by being the Freshmen who champion their way to the top of everyone’s ‘talking about’ list. I see what you did there, Bixel Boys.
In true honor of #SPORTS and #FREELIFE, Bixel Boys have created a bracket competition for the NCAA Tournament. Top 3 winners of the bracket get a nice lil swag pack of merch, show tickets, and some super secret unannounced items. YOu can join in to the “Bixel vs. The World” over on ESPN.com here: Bixel vs. The World NCAA Tournament Bracket
B-B-B-B-Biiiiiixel! Seems like the LA duo have flames trailing behind their Nike shoes, with things heating up on the musical and show fronts. Having just announced their first North American tour, Bixel Boys look to be making strong appearances at places like SXSW and WMC, along with major clubs like Lure in Los Angeles and Cielo in New York.
The latest on the BB production front is their remix of Crystal Method’s ‘Over It’. Praised by many in the Bixel following to be their greatest production as of yet, the remix is definitely a high-spirited remix with a catchy melody… lots of posi #feels. Not over it. Oh ps free download because like I said before Bixel Boys knows bitches love a free download.
Bixel Boys will not stop until they’re sponsored by Nike #freelife, and then they’ll probably hit the ground running even faster. Their latest remix for Kayper is self-desribed as ‘Deep Booty Bass’ and we must oblige. Definitely a tool for DJs trying to make the ground shake and the booty break during their big room sets, while still keeping moody vibes. Have fun with this one, I know we definitely will.
It was a pretty easy decision when we collectively agreed to add our LA buds Bixel Boys to the roster of talent on our illustrious Ones to Watch in 2014 list, and they’re certainly making us look good. Coming out of the gates red hot, the B-boys flip UK darling Eliza Doolittle‘s vocals into a pumping club track without sacrificing their unique big-room meets underground sound. Never shy to skate the fine line between cheese and class, they’ve kept their ears to the rising talents across the pond while still managing to appeal to your girlfriend and all of her friends as Eliza’s vocals coast over piano stabs before giving way to an unsuspecting drop that’ll have even the snarkiest of punters catching a vibe. Grab the free download and hail the #freelife.
Following up on his breakthrough single, “Gecko,” the emerging 18-year-old Dutch producer/DJ, Oliver Heldens, releases his huge remix of Martin Garrix’s “Animals” via Spinnin’ Records. With this release, he continues his ”Heldeep” productions transforming Garrix’s hit into a big-room underground track with a heavy, up-tempo deep house vibe. Heldens, along with the Bixel Boys, may be one of the first artists to bridge the gap between big-room listeners and the underground community.

Topping our ‘Ones To Watch in 2014′, the Bixel Boys jump into the new year with a intensely edited highlight-esque video for their recent release Black December on Sweat It Out! Music. If this doesn’t hype you up for sports and techno I don’t know what will….

Our good homies the Bixel Boys have had a huge breakout year and cap it off with their follow up original EP Bring It On on the legendary NYC based Nervous Records. The title track ‘Bring It On’ is a marching band inspired monster – massive snares and cheer vocal chops tidal wave into a heavy drop of sinister brass band stabs and a bouncing bass line. The B-side ‘CPR’ carries a slower rate (113bpm and literally samples a cardiac monitor) with a warehouse feel of grinding techno/electro. The EP already has received support from the likes of Congorock, Kastle, LA Riots, Tittsworth, Jillionaire of Major Lazer, Harvard Bass, Adrian Lux, 3LAU and many more.
The remix savants have really made a recent change in their sound, with their most recent releases solely being banging underground tracks with big room viability. Listen below, and be sure to catch them over NYE weekend at SnowGlobe Music Festival December 29-31 in Lake Tahoe, CA.
A new fixtape and quite a different vibe than that of what we’ve been expecting from the incredible series strung together by our friends at Solé Bicycle Co. Coming at you live from a sweaty, dark basement somewhere in the heart of Venice, CA, this one is sure to burn some nostalgia into your holidays. No one is doing it better than the Bixel Boys right now.
From Bixel themselves: “We wanted to make a tape that was less dance oriented and brought you back. Nostalgic vibes on this one. Enjoy.”
