Back again are the Bingo Players with the latest installment of their Hysteria Radio. This months mix currently holds the #8 spot on the iTunes overall music podcast chart and is packed with some hugeee hits like “Pogo,” by Laidback Luke, the ballin’ Tom Staar and Kryder remix of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy The The Silence” and “Grid” by Bassjackers and Dyro…definitely a few tunes to get you ready for festival season!! Since a new year is one of the best excuses for celebration, many tend to make their plans far in advance. However, my optimism and a little procrastination got the best of me, and before I knew it, I was scrambling to solidify my plans in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve. Luckily, everything fell into place and I was ecstatic to begin 2013 at Insomniac‘s White Wonderland at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Back in September I was blown away when I heard the premier of the newest song from Bingo Players, ”Out Of My Mind,” in their set at the Electric Zoo Festival in New York. Well, after being officially released a few days ago, Paul and Maarten celebrated by featuring it in this months Hysteria Radio mix. This definitely reminds me of some good times!

My how I enjoy triple headliner nights at CONTROL. This week we have 3 fantastic international acts that have really had an amazing last year. Out of Jakarta, Angger Dimas has finally made his way to the United States in the past 12 months, playing shows all over the country with his Afrojack-esque style. Swedish duo Cazzette joined up with Avicii and the At Night family this past year and are on their way to becoming the next big thing out of Scandinavia. Finally, CONTROL frequenter, Sharooz, is back in Hollywood to show the Avalon crowd what he does best. Lots of good music to be heard on Friday, indeed.

Today marks the exclusive Beatport release of the first single, ‘Hook,’ from Joachim Garraud & Alesia‘s new collaborative EP, Hillside West, due out on Dim Mak next month. Teaming up with the fresh new French trio, Alesia, has proven to be a great influence on this new single from Joachim. Utilizing his mastery of Electro and Techno, Joachim also developed new Progressive and Dubstep influences into Hillside West, and the anthemic synths married with grungy, almost Skrillex-esque womps deliver a side of Joachim’s production that has never been heard before. With support already in from Axwell, Bingo Players, Angger Dimas and more, I’m sure that we’ll be hearing this a fair amount during festival season. It goes without saying, but this week is going to be a big one at CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood. If you’re looking for a bouncy, Housey, fun-filled night then look no further. The sensational duo from the Netherlands, Bingo Players, will be headlining the festivities with support from ‘Diamonds In The Sky’ phenom, Hook N Sling, as well as bookend sets from the buzzing Krewella and Linkin. Like I said, it’s going to be a big one.
