I always do love a funky acid house groove squelching out of a 303, today is no exception.  Sex Panther and FYOR have teamed up to breathe some new life into acid for the mainstage, the likes of which we haven’t seen since Afrojack’s classic “Pacha On Acid.”  With a nice amount of support already, it looks to be quite the secret weapon timed for the biggest festival stages– went pretty well when MAKJ dropped it into his Coachella sets, of course.  Look to hear plenty more of this one this season, and be sure to look good and wear it well while you do so in the latest by Sex Panther Apparel.  Oh, and +10 if you can guess where that sample’s from.  ;)

It’s friday and we’re getting the weekend on the up turn. Our Miami familiar Damaged Goods has created a monster of an original alongside friends Ruen & Cosmo. The title “Turn’t Up Apocalypse” really rings true to what this production encompasses – taking you on a big room ride of anthemic builds, thunderous drums and menacing drops all the way through. Fans of GTA, Deorro and Laidback Luke will be all over this one, grab it below!

The Indoesian wonder Angger Dimas just released his debut full-length album Angger Management on Dim Mak Records, crossing the spectrum of electro, hip hop, big room, hardstyle, moombahton and more. To celebrate it’s widespread acclaim and to give back to the fans, Angger is giving away “Jump Floor”, a bonus track off the album (and in my opinion the biggest and most stand out on the entire release). This monster takes an anthemic buildup only to drop into a big surprise – fans of the main stage will be all over this one, grab it below!

Forever Kid are out on the town, generally messing with Hollywood.  Check out who they mess with at the end.  Any vandalism of that place is pretty neat in my book.  Something tells me they’ll somehow receive a sternly worded letter signed by several lawyers for that one.  If you happen to be several lawyers who represent a ridiculously fraudulent cult, and would like me to pass a sternly worded letter on to Forever Kid, please email stevie@gottadancedirty.com, thanks!

Forever Kid Fridays comes a day early today, and they’re after my own heart.  In the years since the King of Pop has passed, we’ve seen plenty of hasty remixes leech their way up  the blogs every August 29, his birthday.  Today we have something different and special, a tasteful ode to the man and legend that was, and always will be.  Forever Kid‘s signature dream-come-true styled synths reimagine these iconic riffs, bust their way through with flying kicks, and send us head first into the end, for that face-melting Van Halen solo we all know so well.  They basically rocked out a 2013 pop anthem out of a 1983 pop anthem.  I’m on listen #4.  Rest in paradise, MJ.

Forever Kid are at it again.  This week’s Forever Kid Fridays features another big remix, this time of the dance classic Can’t Get You Out of My Head, by uberbabe Kylie Minogue.  Our first installment of the series saw Forever Kid’s Beegees remix quickly ascend the ranks of Hype Machine to #1, and I expect nothing less from this one.  Bold, layered synthwork accents Kylie’s ethereal and eternally sexy vocals in a hugely haunting way.  At first listen you’re transported to the crescendo of a mainstage set from a festival in a dreamy retro-future.  And there’s a killer solo at the end.  Stay tuned and #RefuseToGrowUp.

Forever Kid is a feeling… a dream-come-true back to times when things were simple, free, and more fun.  Influenced as much by the soaring solos of rock ‘n’ roll as by pounding big-room anthems, these two childhood friends from Sweden have come together to bring you Forever Kid Fridays on GDD™.  We’ll have an exclusive throwback remix or original every other Friday, and it looks like some antics to be found in between.  Today we have their big, crunchy remix of the Bee Gees classic, Tragedy.  It’s Friday kiddos– have some fun with this one.
