The sounds of Los Angeles are strong on the new remix from L.A. producer BetaTraxx for L.A. duo Pr0files on their song “Forgive”. Pr0files once described the city of Los Angeles as sunny & twisted. The same can be said to describe this phenomenal remix by BetaTraxx. While the hypnotizing vocals give the song its shine, it’s the rework by BetaTraxx that gives the song its twisted, zombie Disco persona. The crisp, multi-layered production by BetaTraxx takes pieces of 90s, bass heavy Chemical Brothers, dirty, late-2000s Kavinsky & modern day Oliver-style Electro and molds them all together for one extra filthy remix. Crank this one all the way up & cruise around L.A. with the top down (while wearing all black, of course…because that’s the sunny & twisted thing to do).
“Here We Go” is the aptly titled new track by our good friend Betatraxx. With its cheer punk chants & festival style energy, “Here We Go” is the perfect track to get your rave revved up & ready to go. As a producer’s producer, Betatraxx is always testing the boundaries of genre, never afraid to add droplets of Bass, Acid, Trance & House whenever & wherever he so chooses and just as he does here on his new original track. “Here We Go” is a refreshing blast of genre bending future Electro.

Our boy Betatraxx is back and ready to make some moves (and ready to make you move) . After a string of monster remixes (Wiz Khalifa, The Killers, Alt-J), Betatraxx has been going hard at the studio & is all set to release a brand new EP entitled “V”. Over the course of the next three weeks, the first three songs from “V” will be released once a week. Today we feature the first song from the EP, “Body Kit”. “Body Kit” is a melodic & funky, hard hitting spiritual kick to the head that perfectly sets the table for Betatraxx’s exciting new EP. No labels. No bullshit. Free downloads. Be ready.
We’ve been long time supporters of our good friend BetaTraxx, an L.A. producer who’s always been able to stay one step ahead when it comes to producing quality techno + electro. Following a similar philosophy as Boys Noize, BetaTraxx doesn’t set out to make cookie cutter, DJ-friendly, conventional dance music. He challenges himself to produce music that sets itself apart from the mainstream and, in the process, has come up with his own classical-inspired, synth-heavy brand of techno + electro.
Fresh off his “Rocktronica” collaboration with Chuckie & the one & only Slash, we find BetaTraxx showing off more of his diversity with a couple of genre hopping remixes of Wiz Khalifa & The Killers. Big artists. Big remixes. BetaTraxx knows how to have fun with the big boys! Grab the two FREE downloads below and get loose.
We’re bringing in all the homies for the first VS of 2013! BetaTraXx will be making a return to The Central in Santa Monica along with Religion, Charles I, and Lassi. Come on out and keep the buzz going from New Year’s.

Our good mate BetaTraxx will be releasing a highly anticipated 4-track EP titled Mercury on the famed Big Beat imprint on the 25th of this month. The Los Angeles-based producer has included a couple of collaborations on the release, including “Out Of This World ft. Charles I” and the production that we are premiering for you today, “Get Static;” a joint effort from BetaTraxx and Danish producer Morten Breum that BetaTraxx called “a perfect combination of [their] two sounds.” He went on to explain that “often with collaborations the sounds can be a confused compromise between two producers trying be respectful of each others techniques, but with ‘Get Static’ everything just fell into place; with Morten’s Deep House vibe that he loves infused with my harmonies and mix choices, we just both liked it. Really that simple.” 2013 should be the biggest year for BetaTraxx yet; with a full album and live show in the works, we’re thrilled to see what the new year brings. √+
It’s taken a few years for everything to fall into place, but 2012 will see the launch of the newest branch of Gotta Dance Dirty, GDD.tv. The extremely talented photographer/filmmaker, Alexander Jacob, will be working alongside the rest of the GDD™ team to create artistic, provoking video content that can’t be seen anywhere else in dance music media. The first project is a 3-part documentary series on Dirty Dutch‘s, BetaTraXx. Alex has put together a teaser for the series, including some of the debauchery from BetaTraXx’s last tour here in the US. Keep your eyes peeled for more on gottadancedirty.tv.
We’re in for another fun one at Avalon in Hollywood this Friday. Atlanta’s Le Castle Vania will be coming back to CONTROL for another headline romp along with supporting sets from our good pal BetaTraxx, Black Cards, and GDD™‘s Bones and Burn Unit. Tons of fun. Tons of tunes.
Please email names to RSVP@gottadancedirty.com to be added to our discount guestlist for the evening. All names must be submitted by 5:30PM on Friday.

Earlier this week, we featured a new remix from our pal, BetaTraXx, for the ever-popular Indie Pop band, fun., and I mentioned that he’d be releasing another remix for the powerhouse label, Big Beat, in mid-May. Well, today we are fortunate enough to premiere that aforementioned remix, and leaving eloquence aside I can say that it’s very, very good. The release takes a percussive, almost breaky journey through the new single, ‘Arms,’ from Philadelphian singer/songwriter/babe, Christina Perri. ‘Arms’ features beautiful, powerful vocals and lyrics from Christina that BetaTraXx percipiently featured in the remix while simultaneously adding in an undeniable dance aspect. Pick it up on Beatport May 15th. √+
