The Toronto-based (and a good buddy of mine) Meati & Meech are releasing their BOCK EP, a six gun package with 4 remixes that are in heavy rotation by an all-star lineup, on Discobelle Records next week. You can take my word for it, or you can hear from the class acts themselves below the jump!

This year we are amped to be joining forces once again with our good buddies in Collaborative Media and Dim Mak to bring you the 2011 Pacific Festival in Orange County. The makings of the answer to a ‘SoCal Outsidelands’, the Pacific Festival is putting together the perfect balance of summer music now in a proper location for all festival-goers. With a relocated festival site to Oak Canyon Ranch (recent location of Lightning In A Bottle) and a full day of music starting @ 10am, this year’s Pacific Fest is gonna show off the true summer festival atmosphere in its deserved setting. Getting a huge boost from last year, the 2011 lineup is staggering (Just find your favorite groove makers below):

This June, Scion A/V and Dim Mak are hitting the road with a 17-date tour featuring 6 of Dim Mak’s most promising talents. They’ll be bussing all around the US, starting off June 6th in sunny San Diego, CA and finishing up in Phoenix, AZ on the 27th. For my fellow UCSB kids + alumns, you’d be happy to know that the name of this tour originates from Steve Aoki‘s famous apartment complex (dubbed ‘the Pickle Patch’) in Isla Vista while he was attending the most amazing/ridiculous college in the world.

All of the shows on the tour will cost $5 or less and will feature an interesting, genre-mashing lineup that will make each show as unique as the Dim Mak label. Head on over to the Pickle Patch website for tour dates in a city near you, and get this brand new exclusive from AutoErotique as well as a PeaceTreaty remix preview of Sporty O & Whiskey Pete that comes out tomorrow on Beatport!

One of the biggest surprises to me at Ultra Music Festival in Miami last month was the BANGING set by Joachim Garraud in the Root Society Dome on Friday night. The smiley Frenchman blew me away with his signature edits and a nifty little live keytar performance, so naturally I can’t wait to see his Invasion Live performance at Coachella this Saturday at 4PM in the Sahara tent. He’ll be sandwiched in between Sander Kleinenberg and Chuckie, so it might be a good spot to stay for a bit on Saturday evening. In honor of his upcoming performance, Joachim has released AutoErotique‘s remix of the new track ‘Everybody In The Place’ off of his new album, Invasion 2011, that came out in late March. Go pick up the whole album on Beatport and grab this little ditty while it’s hawt.

Just when you thought it was safe to start thinking his signature sound is fading, Benny Benassi goes and unleashes another big room monster. Definitely let loose on the festival circuit this past year (including Ultra and EDC), Benny’s new jam ‘House Music’ hints at the production assistance of Afrojack, who remixed the anthem ‘Satisfaction’ early this year. Although the track was featured as a bonus on his ‘Spaceship’ EP, it seemed to not achieve the credit it deserves. To boot, Dim Mak’s Autoerotique (formerly VNDLSM) has laid down a diabolical remix to revive the release – I look forward to seeing if anyone else does any justice of their own to the new Benny banger. Until then, grab these and fire away.

What a fitting party to coincide with the temperature of Southern California this week! This Friday at the Avalon, T&B posterboy Drop The Lime will be making a stop on his “HOT AS HELL” tour, which is promoting Luca’s new track being released this November on Trouble & Bass. Accompanying the heat will be two of Dim Mak‘s finest: the hard-hitting Toronto tag team known as AutoErotique and the young gun who has been stickin’ it for the past year, SonicC. Prepare to experience some serious perspiration, and leave your cleanliness at home because this week is going to be a dirty one.

Please RSVP names to JONAH@GOTTADANCEDIRTY.COM to be on our discount ticket list for the evening. All names must be submitted before 6PM on Friday.

Happy Halloween week everyone! I hope you are all getting your weird, raved-out costumes together for the epic weekend ahead. As mentioned last week, we have a HUGE lineup for this Friday at CONTROL with a DJ set from Hot Chip and LIVE performances by Danger! and Drop The Lime. Now I know that some of you are on the fence about going to Hard Haunted Mansion and I am in no way trying to stray you from the amazing music that you would hear at the Shrine, but if your pockets aren’t as deep as they usually are or you feel like dancing to some great tunes in a more intimate setting, I definitely recommend coming to party with us at the Avalon. We will be holding down The House Party as usual with our good friends sweetFA, Mr. Anderson, Zander, and other special guest DJs. In addition, the Avalon and Bardot are teaming up this week, so Dim Mak’s Autoerotique will be playing upstairs along with a few other artists.

Please RSVP at JONAHDANCESDIRTY@gmail.com to be on the GDD guestlist for discount tickets (10$).

As usual, here are some tracks to groove to while constructing your sweet bubble wrap jumpsuit that you’re going to wear this Friday/Saturday.

bonus! a pretty awesome (and long) video of Danger! performing live.
