GDD™ presents CONTROL w/ Riva Starr + Fred Falke + Viceroy

Lots of good tunes this Friday at CONTROL at the Avalon in Hollywood with a double-headlined night from Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr and the legendary Fred Falke. Supporting sets will come from our friends Viceroy, Anthony Ross, and Social Cues. Expect some French House, Nu Disco, and whatever the edgy Riva Starr feels like playing.

Today, Southern Californian duo, Vindata, released the second part of their track, Night Sky, on Shake Your Ass Records, complete with remixes from Telmini, Bullwack, and our good homie, Anthony Ross. Anthony has been putting out some great House music as of late, and if you came out to our VS. party the other week, you’d know that the man puts down a seriously sexy set. I just can’t wait for Thursdays here in LA. The weather is warming up this week, which of course means that GDD™ and DANCEiSM are bringing the fuego to the West Side tonight with our buddy and Voyeur SD resident Anthony Ross, as well as big time LA up and comers No Body and Twisted Gods. JammyPack Giveaway!

What is better than getting free swag? Well, how about if that free swag is a FANNY PACK that has SPEAKERS built into it? Our very good friends over at JammyPack want to give away two of these bad boys to you lovely readers, and they’re even letting you pick which one you want from their excellent collection of colors and styles. Here’s how the giveaway will go…

1. Two JammyPacks will be given away. One of them must go to someone who will be at Snowball Festival in Vail, CO this weekend, and that winner will pick it up FROM US at ///BONES‘ set on Saturday in the Heat Hut at 5:30PM. The other JammyPack will go to anyone and will be shipped directly to you.

GDD™ Presents CONTROL at the Avalon w/ GRUM + Acid Girls + Anthony Ross!

He’s back! The groovy Scot will be making another appearance this Friday at CONTROL in Hollywood along with LA’s own Acid Girls and GDD™ friendly and 1/2 of Bubblegum Sci Fi, Anthony Ross. If you have still yet to see one of GRUM‘s performances, I highly recommend coming out to this event. Prepare to dance like you are in slow motion in a wind tunnel, with seductive sounds ubiquitous throughout the ample-spaced Avalon.

Walking with a Ghost (GDD™ Exclusive)

Nu-disco fans rejoice! Back in April, we featured remixes from the talented duo of Anthony Ross and Mezzir. If you liked their remix of Franz Ferdinand’s “Ulysses”, you’re going to fall in love with San Diego-based Grey Ghost, Anthony Ross’ new side project. Grey Ghost’s carefully crafted arpeggios and phasers set from stun to kill are sure to please the fans of French veterans Fred Falke and Lifelike. Gotta Dance Dirty™ is proud to present exclusive Grey Ghost remixes of Felix da Housecat’s new single, “We All Wanna Be Prince”, and Passion Pit’s “The Reeling”.

if you can find better remixes of franz ferdinand’s “ulysses” and lady gaga’s “just dance,” i encourage you to upload them to our new soundcloud and i’ll post any serious contenders. in the meantime, czech out these coast-to-coast collaborations from producers anthony ross and mezzir. this duo takes an electro house approach to one and a nu disco approach to the other, but both remixes easily outshine their original counterparts. keep ‘em coming, guys.
