What a BIG week for our chum Anna Lunoe. Tonight she kicks off a North American Fall tour in support of The Weeknd and last week her vocals were featured on “Time Drips,” a new release by Eric Sharp on Win Records. As an artist who wears many hats, Anna Lunoe should be the perfect fit to warm up the eclectic Weeknd crowds all across North America. From downtempo to deep shit to jackin’ house to bangers, whatever those diverse crowds require, Anna will be sure to bring it. And speaking of bangers, Anna’s big week continues with her brand new release enttitled “Breathe”. ”Breathe” finds Anna dipping into Stuart Price/Jacques Lu Cont/Thin White Duke/Paper Faces territory with a style worthy of Mr. Price’s classic + smooth yet hard hitting club sound. It’s a CLUBBANGA!

With the sultry vocals of Anna Lunoe and a funky fresh bass line, we are in love with this new track from Eric Sharp! Out on 9/3 on Win Records the 3 Track ‘Sharp Cuts EP’ has us on the edge of our seats to see what else Eric has in store, but if it’s anything like the first track we can’t wait for September 3rd. Dig it below!
Main Course maestro, Astronomar, just sent over the latest offering from his newly launched label last night — a 2-track EP from Italian producer His Majesty Andre who is showcasing a new style and sound via this release. The A-side “Sunshine” features the beautiful vocals of GDD™ favorite Anna Lunoe, and don’t be confused by the song title as HMA and Anna have brought “Sunshine” into a dark place with deep bass and filters ready for the club. “Moonlight” serves as the flip side of the release, and once again His Majesty Andre goes with a deep, jacking bassline that rolls it’s way through the track. Main Course has said that this is their best release so far, and I wouldn’t disagree with that claim whatsoever. Pick it up on Beatport.
GDD™ favs Mr. AC Slater and Ms. Anna Lunoe have turned out an absolutely stellar cover of J. Cole and Miguel’s recent hip-hop infused love ballad ‘Power Trip,’ and guess what? They’re releasing it for free. How nice of them.
It’s a bubbly and infectious house anthem that really takes a turn for the Trouble & Bass side of things around the halfway mark courtesy of Mr. AC. Truly the best of both of their worlds. Grab the download below and check out the original music video after the jump!
We can’t think of a better way to kick off another fine Summer weekend than with a jackin’ new dance musik mix from Anna Lunoe. This mix first aired on Evolution/Dim Mak Radio on the 4th of July and, as expected, features Anna’s signature style of straight-up, high quality, proper House music, sure to get any and all asses shakin’ this weekend. Anna says the first person to get the full tracklist will win a T-shirt! I’d get on that if I were you…her Ts are super fly.
Sweet, Sweet, disco nectar delivered strait to your door. This sun-kissed ultra funky mix mutates & cultivates the vibes of Tropicool‘s essence in the South Bay. Everything is in full bloom, the birds, bees, and the myrts feel it. The sand is warm and the micheladas are frosty. Poseidon is holding a conch shell to his ear, and the vibration station is starting to reverberate. Perv and swerve, because for this one, you’re meant to loose control while on cruise control.
Exclusive Tracklisting After Jump
Cassian is a name that most of you have become very familiar with here at GDD. This Auzzy and his insatiable dance music groove’s have consumed our attention in the form of a guest mix, and pretty much anything else his name is associated with. Anna Lunoe is a fellow mate from down under, and Touch Sensitive brings some Scotland vibes into this melting pot of a track. This particular remix has that four on the floor beat we have all come to know and love, along with some deep synth lines that bring it more into the realm of deep house. The original production was released on March 18th through Future Classic Records, but Anna Lunoe and Cassian have chosen to release this remix as a free download, so be sure to cop it while it’s hot!
Without a doubt, my favorite babe of 2012 was the lovely and talented Ms. Anna Lunoe. She’s a wonderful DJ, an amazing songwriter, a master collaborator, her style is sexy and her eyebrows are bangin’. If last year was any indication of things to come from Anna, then 2013 should be a big year for her.
The Anna Lunoe Facebook page just hit the 10,000 fan milestone and as a gift to her fans, Anna is giving away a track for free. It’s a Winter-y song she wrote back in 2011. It’s deep & sweet with a little UK shuffle. Here’s what she had to say about it:
“This is one of the first songs that I wrote, produced and recorded on one rainy Winter’s day in June 2011. It’s very simple and quite different in style to the things I’m working on now, but looking back, it’s a sweet in its simplicity but I thought some of you might enjoy it. I will disable it in ten days or after 10K downloads.
Happy new year and thank you for supporting my music!
A little song with a lot of heart. Thanks, Anna…
