Not too much known about these 3 Brits from Northwestern England other than that they’ve caught the ear of Dave Spoon AKA Shadow Child & Kry Wolf for a debut release on their FOOD Music imprint out last month. Makes No Sense‘s Sling EP showcases an array of thumping, bass-heavy House music — right up the audible alley of imprint owner Shadow Child. The 3-track EP has received some serious support for a debut EP, receiving plays from Skream, Benga, Ardalan, Jaymo & Andy George, and many more. I think it’s definitely appropriate to add this trio to the growing list of top House & Bass coming out of England. Pick up the FOOD Music release here and check this mix the lads put together to celebrate their FOOD debut.

A massive 12 song compilation dropped today compliments of Moda Black. The roster of artists appearing in the package is a dream-team of rising stars like Disclosure, Eats Everything, Nick Monaco, and Kill Frenzy. I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite out of the bunch, as the tunes vary from the deep house camp over to the peak-time warehouse vibe. Expect to hear a fair bit of this compilation this summer, especially since Moda Black’s label heads are none other than BBC1’s Jaymo & Andy George. Pick up a copy on iTunes or Amazon. Check out previews after the jump.

To cap off a massive year, BBC Radio 1’s dynamic duo Jaymo & Andy George released a power packed mix for MixMag and Moda, equipped with some of the “biggest tunes of 2010 and beyond.” Aside from the greats we already know and love, the London boys premiered Fake Blood‘s newest creation – “Medieval”. This tune makes you wanna turn a renaissance festival into a HARD festival. Speaking of – I can feel that we’ll be seeing more new greatness from Fake Blood this year, as he will be one of the headliners for the upcoming HARD Weekend, being held on March 11th-19th, in Oakland, Los Angeles, and New York City. (*This is not the full track, only a 320 rip from the full mix, so be on the look out for the actual release of the full track!)

What’s up dirty dancers?
After the success of his ‘I Remember’ remix last year, and also the inevitable carnage that Nero‘s trancey dubstep tunes strike up, it’s pretty unsurprising that Caspa‘s come back for a second summer dub anthem this time remixing Swedish House Mafia‘s One:
While you’re at it, scope this out too:
• Swedish House Mafia – One (Congorock remix) (link removed by request)
After blindly swearing never to listen to Congorock‘s Babylon again, I find myself listening to this gem, it sees the original slowed down and turned ever more Dutch.

Second up; citing their influences from both French and Chicago House scenes, Human Life have just dropped their ‘In It Together’ EP which is out on LIFEX. It’s already garnering the Angelenos a lot of attention, getting remixed by Kris Menace & Acid Girls, but the freshest picks for me come from two British acts:
Some essenttttial electro from Moda & Radio 1 residents
If you’re big into this French Filter track then stay tuned for Human Life’s collab with Alan Braxe which is set to drop later this year on Vulture

And lastly, Toddla T has been kicking up a lot of heat over the past few months since signing with Ninja Tune. Sky Surfin’ is a frantic journey of two-step electro and dancehall, making it ideal for the summer and impossible not to jam to:

If you dig this, then cruise through Beatport to pick it up in full 320
This is being given away for free by Ninja Tune. In commemoration of their twentieth anniversary, they’re giving away a track per week, visit NinjaTuneXX for more deets and if you’re London based be sure to pick up a pass for their celebration in October, the lineup is stacked.

Well at last my dirty dancers of the world, I promised this all summer, and why not tease you until I could be satisfied with something that went from summer fun to hot hard nastiness. This is a good look at what’s been pounding our ears here in LA all summer. Moreover, these artists are climbing into the spot light, with their tracks dropping massively at festivals around the world these past months. My artist highlighted being the party monsters known as Nadastrom. They can’t be stopped. Nothing better than a poisonous blend of the banger-wobble-bassline- tribal-ravetastic-fist pumping glory I know you all have a soft, hard spot for. Play at high volume and hold on to your knickers.
