Hold on to your seat, because Insomniac has thrown together one of the biggest parties in LA’s recent memory. G-house originators Amine Edge & Dance will be accompanied by Friend Within, Thee Cool Cats and GDD’s own Bones in one room. All the while, the French Express squad — consisting of Moon Boots, Jonas Rathsman and Perseus — alongside Coco Disco will be bringing heat in their own room. Fans of Amine Edge, Vanilla Ace and Sharam Jey will be all over this one, grab it below!
The Parisian duo Amine Edge & Dance have been introducing us to an arsenal of rising talent via their widely supported imprint CUFF. Their newest FREE release is no substitution, featuring the north London based Tainted Souls (whom already have made a name for themselves on Sleazy G and LouLou Records). Our Mexicali boys THEE COOL CATS have finally gotten the release we’ve been waiting for. G House heavyweights Amine Edge & Dance have kept their record ‘Hand On The Pump’ hidden in their arsenal for over a year and now premiere it with the world on their infamous label CUFF. The EP comes equipped with 3 other heaters – sampling some of the hardest vocals in hip hop and the fattest basslines in house music. We’ve been anticipating this one for awhile, so support the dudes and grab it on beatport!

As Summer comes to a close, we can only look forward to the chilling air to fill our lungs at HARD Day Of The Dead as the Halloween season approaches. The second installment of HARD’s DOTD mixtape series comes from one of our personal favorites: Amine Edge & DANCE. The French G-house globe trotters have been infecting the scene with their gritty funk and thumping bass that make up the sound they truely can call their own. This mix is comprised of all their own originals and remixes, a true showcase of what’s to come at the festival. Dig into this one and get your funky costume ideas flowing…

A big day in the books for the young Mexicali duo Thee Cool Cats – Today marked the much anticipated release of their ‘Play It Again’ EP on NYC based Nurvous Records, along with their Beatport contest winning remix for Blond:ish & Climbers on Get Physical Music. With their initial exposure coming from the world traveling support of Amine Edge & DANCE, the single “Play It Again” was almost snatched up by Amine’s new label CUFF, only to be beat to the chase by Nurvous. The other tracks on the EP “Still Gone” and “Will Never Do” keep things on a more soulful level, executing solid B-sides in the deep/disco category. Check them all out below, and support our boys on Beatport!

Back in June, The Magician announced that he would be taking a three month break from putting out any Magic Tapes, much to the dismay of his loyal fans. And much to their delight, The Magician returned last week with Magic Tape Twenty-Five. The anticipation was high for the new mixtape and The Magish couldn’t have picked a better tune to kick off the highly anticipated mix than the Amine Edge & DANCE remix of “Things I Didn’t Know I Loved” by our boy Felix aka Plastic Plates. The crisp, dark groove + haunting vocals not only set the tone of the mixtape, they’re also a perfect indicator that a new equinox is upon us.
Check out the moody Fall vibes with the FREE download below, as well as stream the “Things I Didn’t Know I Loved EP!”
Alright all you snarky little fucks, I don’t wanna hear it, OK? We know, we know…you totally jacked “Untouchable” by DeMarzo from Zippyshare like a month ago, thus making this post old news in accordance with the blog/time conversion chart. You know what I say to that? Screw you and your unmastered versions!
No, but real talk though – one of the absolute best pop/RnB tracks of the last decade (Robin Thicke’s “I Wanna Love U Girl”) gets a fantastic rework via the deep, warped and funky mind of DeMarzo. At long last, the full (MASTERED!) EP is available now on Beatport.
DeMarzo has taken a track that is already incredibly deep, sexy + soulful and turned it into something even deeper, sexier + more soulful, which is a feat in itself. Even more bad ass is accomplishing this same feat three more times – with remixes by Kolombo, Sishi Rosch and Amine Edge & Dance it’s aces all around on this brilliant EP.
