Only just a year old, and the Amadeus imprint has quickly risen above the fray in the ever evolving world of underground dance music. The Canadian powerhouse duo Prince Club teamed up with LA resident Steve Huerta on a wonderful two track EP called Can’t Let Go. The title track has a very clear sound design, with reverbed vocals floating around precise percussion and a thick, growling bassline before finally giving way to a euphoric breakdown. It’s a top track, and has been getting the nod from Catz N Dogz, Waze & Odyssey, as well as finding a place in my latest Kurtz & Bomber promo mix. You can pick up a free download over at XLR8R.

Prince Club & Steve Huerta – Can’t Let Go EP Promo Mix [AMA006] by Amadeus Records

This four track EP by Steve Huerta on Amadeus Records is sexy, deep house with a club-friendly demeanor geared for the summer.  Throbbing bass, bubbly synths, intricate vocal work and sampling, spot-on grooves and percussion, filtered pad work.  It takes you deep– very deep– but in a friendly sort of way that Steve is carving out as his signature.  I’ve always loved what he does with the vocal samples that he combs the sonic world to find, and he’s got a hauntingly good sense of atmosphere that is at this point unmistakable.  All wraps up nicely by an even deeper remix by Urulu, another favorite of ours.  Everything these two put out just keeps getting better and better.  I’m on board and hereby offer my unconditional endorsement.
