Disclosure are very much unstoppable at this point. Their 2012 was undoubtedly one of the most successful in dance music, and they’re starting off 2013 strong with a new collaboration with fellow buzzing UK duo, AlunaGeorge, titled “White Noise.” The brothers have truly done it again with this one — perfectly balancing Aluna’s vocals atop their becomingly signature sound. Expect to hear this one out quite a bit to kick this year off. It’s due out February 17th on PMR Records. √++

YEEEW! Dirt time & all I gotta say is I am very DTF with all of the songs so generously being put into the mix this week. Very much a theme again here, slowed UK vibes and really strongly percussion-based tracks in my picks, and a bit of everything from Jonah; ubiquitously groovy of course. Tons of free jams for everyone to enjoy, and we’re really stoked on all of the producers below & highly recommend checking more of their stuff out! It’s time to set the mood for the upcoming months with the next installment of my bi-annual/seasonal mixtape series: aRod’s FallGaze 2012 Mix. The mixtape is chock full of lustful indie grooves, steamy disco + deep, sleazy house. Hot tracks from heavy hitters like Anna Lunoe, Disclosure and Van She along with some unreleased heaters from Benoit & Sergio, MANIK feat. Jeremy Glenn and Sure Thing…this mix should keep you warm and electrified from Fall all the way through Winter.

When it comes to remixes, Duke Dumont has a knack for putting his own stamp on a track and turning it into something fresh and original. He’s often called a producer’s producer and rightfully so. As expressed in a recent interview with The Line of Best Fit, he’s very respectful when it comes to the process and art of music production. The diversity of artists he has remixed (Santigold, Metronomy, ZZT, Bonobo, Mystery Jets) is a testament to his unique style and his respect for all genres of music. His latest gem of a remix is for the ethereal song “Your Drums, Your Love” by AlunaGeorge. It’s a beautifully crafted remix and the combination of AlunaGeorge and Duke Dumont is RED RED HOT.
The “Your Drums, Your Love” EP is out October 15th [Pre-order HERE]
With its unique sound plus sweet yet heartbreaking vocals, “Your Drums, Your Love” by AlunaGeorge is one of the finest songs of 2012. The UK duo has been hard at work on their new album, set for release sometime in 2013. In the meantime, AlunaGeorge gives us “Your Drums, Your Love”, complete with a remix package that includes reworks by Duke Dumont (YES), The Prototypes, Deebs and Lil Silva. Check out the crispy, charged up Lil Silva remix below and keep an eye out for the remix package coming out October 15th via Island Records.
The UK specialist, Bobby Tank, impressed me so much that he made it into my chart for the month of May. As expected, he has come through with another excellent remix that’ll keep you coming back for more. He single handedly just made my Monday night, and I’m sure he’ll make yours too if you have a listen to the tune after the jump. While you’re at it, grab the bonus free download courtesy of the label he is signed to, MofoHifi Records.
The UK teen duo, Bondax, put their smooth, groovin’ sound to AlunaGeorge‘s “You Know You Like It.” They’ve added a fresh, more up-beat feel to the track, which is quite suitable for the start of the weekend. Even Annie Mac would agree since she featured it on her show last week. So forget about everyone at EDC, and enjoy the great tune (and free DL) after the jump.
