The 16 Bit Lolitas are truly one of a kind, on the block since 2012 – they maintain their individualism in their artistry through the Ajunadeep label, premiering masterful EP’s like their most recent, “Deep In My Soul.” Jazzy, with flairs of trance like chord progressions, and a deep kick to compliment, this music resonates on a different plane. Rare are the times you listen to each note in a song, consumed with wonder for where the next might go, and amazed at where it’s already been. The title track brings enough pump to make 8 minutes feel like nothing but it’s “Higher State” that takes the cake for me. The bright trumpet beckoning is pure wizardry along with the echo drenched synth chords that answer its call. I wouldn’t sleep on this one, check it out after the jump!
