GDD Exclusive: Zimmer Interview + Horizontal Remix Package


If you are now a stranger to Zimmer, it will not be for long. The king of horizontal disco will soon be giving your girlfriend hard nips and make her hips move like the Caribbean Queen. His infectious beats are both soothing, yet funky, and are a breath of fresh air from the EDM norm. He is currently represented by North America’s premiere Disco label, Vitalic Noise, and has no plans of slowing down. I had a chance to kick it with him for a couple days and get the inside scoop on the future / past / and present of everything “Zimmer”. Cosmic Kids – CK Phase 2


Hometown héros & feel good kings, Cosmic Kids, have released a new mix tape perfect for sunnydaze. It reminds me of sun-drenched rides up PCH with the top down. Expect low BPM, smooth & sweet jams, that will take you to your special place. Daniel of CK told me earlier today the idea behind the mix was to make something for the drive down to Coachella, and we must oblige.

Zimmer – Back to his Roots


If you like your music toasty, funky, and feel-good, let me introduce to you Vitalic Noise’s: Zimmer.  Horizontal disco king & the sultan of smooth.  If you already know who he is, give yourself a pat on the back, you’re killing it.  His first EP entitled ‘Horizontal Disco’ came out on Discotexas a few months back and is nothing short of amazing.  His first remix ever he did for Moon boots of ‘Aretha’ is beyond amazing. Our friends Pharao Black Magic just sent over their radical and quirky remix of Shindu’s new single, ‘All In My Fridge,’ and it has besides being on repeat, it’s found a spot in my newest Gooch Tape. If you are unfamiliar with Pharao Black Magic, clean out your ears and dive deep into their Soundcloud. You’ll thank me later. They could very well be the best thing to come from Switzerland since fondue. Their sound is deep, yet tropical & mysterious, laced with silky smooth vocals. Sounds like quite the recipe for a magical auditory love child.
