Future Classic‘s own, Touch Sensitive isn’t a sound, it’s a feeling. It’s served frothy, always smooth, and imported strait from down under. With a wardrobe only to match the intricacy of his sounds, a beautiful music mosaic is formed. Ascending and descending melodies paired with funky bass will have you cruising in the sun-kissed rays in no time. It’s time to eat some pizza, get sensitive, see sounds, and listen to colors because when this tape is over, you’ll swear you might have drank a little too much of that serotonin smoothie.
Oh, did i forget to mention this is the solo project of Mikey from Van She?

Sweet, Sweet, disco nectar delivered strait to your door. This sun-kissed ultra funky mix mutates & cultivates the vibes of Tropicool‘s essence in the South Bay. Everything is in full bloom, the birds, bees, and the myrts feel it. The sand is warm and the micheladas are frosty. Poseidon is holding a conch shell to his ear, and the vibration station is starting to reverberate. Perv and swerve, because for this one, you’re meant to loose control while on cruise control.

Earlier this fall Jerome LOL set out on a West Coast tour with Classixx, Cosmic Kids, and RAC for some of the most infectious summer time music when everyone was having summer withdrawals. Classixx were a crowd favorite, and then “Holding On” surfaced late last month and the internet was abuzz with this summertime sensation. It would appear Jerome couldn’t get the song out of his head, along with everyone else who heard these endorphin packed vibes, as he set out to create this remix for them. It does a great job of building and resolving into the original chords as his minimalistic percussion patterns create a comfortable dance environment for you to get down to. Out digitally and 12″ on April 2nd on Leisure Recordings, be sure to make sure your spring playlists are as forward as they can be with this summer time anthem.
The talented sisters of HAIM have released a Duke Dumont edit to their record, “Falling.” HAIM is a band that has been around since ’06, but didn’t start releasing music until recently in 2012. Their sound is often described as nu-folk, a genre that will fit in great with Duke Dumont’s extensive genre-spanning discography. He brings a particularly lighter feel to this edit as compared to some of his recent work that associates with a deeper late night sound. At times there is even a bit of a moombahton beat to the drum pattern. You can pre-order your limited edition pink vinyl copy of this remix EP featuring a remix from Psychemagik here.
Fresh off the success of his long awaited track “Excommunication”, Erkka returns with a remix of fellow countryman Lucky Stripes. 18-year old Finnish producer Lucky Stripes gets the remix treatment from Erkka on his new track “You Take Me Dancing”. While the whole tropical disco fad seems to have died down, Erkka adds in a new twist of club-friendly tropical flair on his remix of “You Take Me Dancing”. The outcome is a disco-electro dance floor scorcher.
The boys over at Solé have taken us on yet another musical journey. If Lionel Richie was fueled by propane, sported reebok pumps and night crawled the mean streets of Venice, you’d end up with something that sounded a little bit like, well… let’s just say we were lucky enough to capture the radness in this month’s Fixtape. Solé Bicycle Co. is pleased to present this month’s Fixtape, from LA’s own,Oliver, the electro-funk super group of Oliver Goldstein & Vaughn Oliver. They’ve been making waves with their deep undertones, infectiously funky riffs, and intergalactic space beats, sure to make your mother shutter. Whether you prowl dark alleys hanging out in various voodoo circles or spend your free time spreading funky mayo on your friend’s sandwiches, this Fixtape is for you. Strap on your helmet and chuck the deuce, because you’re on the highway to hell.
