Since winning the Above & Beyond “You Got To Go” remix competition, Seven Lions has come a long way with releases on Viper Recordings, OWSLA, and Anjunabeats, among others, as well as numerous major festival and headlining performances. With the his new Myon & Shane 54 collaboration, “Strangers” featuring Tove Lo, he marks yet another milestone for his career as it is a part of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones official motion picture soundtrack, alongside artists such as Zedd and Bassnectar.
Seven Lions, with Myon & Shane 54, has taken an avant-garde approach to meld together a bass-trance cross-breed that incorporates Tove Lo’s vocals for a stunning effect. “Strangers” takes on a complex arrangement as it moves through a progressive build, a lush, yet bass-heavy, half-time drop, and an uplifting trance section before circling back. With this track, Seven Lions continues to push dance music forward with innovation while he maintains his own distinctive style. Purchase on “Strangers” on iTunes.
♥ “Strangers” on the Hype Machine!
It’s rare that I personally stumble upon trance I like. But when it sounds like this, and comes with an acre plot of land on the moon, It’s hard to argue. If you could imagine what 80s coke trance would sound like with a killer bassline; welp, this is your answer. Each track is a journey through space and time, meticulously produced, and quite frankly, out of this world. So if you like good music, or hate this world & need to move to the moon, I highly suggest you purchase this limited vinyl EP of 500 copies. You’re sure to have some epicly weird neighbors up there…
The new-age trance phenom, Maor Levi, delivers his first #MOARBASS podcast episode along with a guest mix from Ilan Bluestone. Kicking things off, Maor is keeping up his hard and heavy style of trance along with a great variety of other crossover-type tracks. With the addition of Ilan Bluestone‘s guest appearance, it’s a jam packed two hours of forward-thinking and danceable music. Have a listen for yourself and keep your eye on Maor for more goodies to come.

I’m sure we can all agree on the respect and appreciation of artists that are pioneering new frontiers in dance music. My latest music discovery, a visionary rising star from Isreal that goes by the name Maor Levi, is doing just that. The lines between genres continue to blur, and Maor is responsible for taking trance on the ride of a lifetime by incorporating a much heavier dubstep and electro-influenced style fit for massive main stage sound systems. With support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Arty, and Mark Knight, among many others, it’s clear that we have something truly special on our hands. Hear what Maor can do for yourself, grab the free download below, and check out two other stellar remixes after the jump. Also, be on the look out for the start of his new monthly podcast, “MOAR Bass.”

After last year’s CHAIND Vol.1, witch house wizards White Ring , proved to become the ambassadors of the occult ghetto grave-rave tunes. This week they gave away their Waka Flocka ‘Murda‘ remix as a preview of their upcoming tape CHAIND Vol.2. Filled with machine guns, horror synths & stuttering demonic raps, White Ring smothered the life out of the original… reassuring this new mixtape will be more than satisfying for all you hooligan ravers out there.
