Pierce Fulton dropped two new tracks on his soundcloud the other day, That Should Do It and West Egg. The first, That Should Do It is a melodic downtempo masterpiece that is beautifully constructed, perfect for long drives in the sun.  West Egg is another downtempo jam layered with well-designed synths that has a great underlying groove.

It is always refreshing to see an upcoming artist take a step back and use their position to support a larger cause. 3LAU, the stage name of Las Vegas DJ and producer Justin Blau, is coming off of a year that included performing to sold out crowds across America, and numerous #1′s on Hypem. On April 30th, 3LAU will make his Beatport debut with a remix of James Egbert’s “Back to New.” In honor of the release, 3LAU will match and donate all proceeds to Pencils of Promise, a non-profit that builds schools in developing nations. 3LAU is no stranger to non-profit work, as he was featured in the New York Times for pioneering a microloan program while in high school. 3LAU’s dream of building a school is becoming a reality, as pre-sales and donations have reached over $1500 dollars in just three days.

Check out a preview of “Back to New” and what 3LAU has to say after the jump!

Well here’s a free firecracker to help you get over those Humpday blues and start roundhouse kicking your way into the weekend. Belgian producers Shameboy have cooked up a saucy little remix for Hamburg, Germany upstarts Gorillas On Drums that’s infused with some Big Room melodies, Future Techno basslines, and a tasteful amount of Dutchy bleeps and bloops that keep the song progressing steadily and your hips moving all along.

Here’s what the fellas from Shameboy had to say about it:

Here you go!! The guys from Gorillas On Drums asked us to do a remix for this track, which we did… As they really loved it, they were so eager to share this with you, the guys and us decided to actually give this away as a free download… They just wanted their Original track and our remix to be out there asap, that meant: no label hassle, no waiting around, and just instant pleasure :)

Instant pleasure… that just about sums it up.

After a 2011 that saw Paul David release singles on powerhouse label Cr2/Dirty Dutch, London UK’s Pukka Up (a collaboration with Barletta that impacted the DMC buzz charts) as well as an EP on Burner Records, Paul started off 2012 strong with an influential moombahton collaboration EP with DJ A-Mac that sat in the Beatport charts for 2 weeks.

Now, Paul David is back with a breakthrough solo EP of EDM entitled FIZION (Burner Records), that is in one word…big!

Tracks on this release have already enjoyed early support from Chuckie, Andy Moor, Sebastian Ingrosso, Mark Oliver, Deko-ze, Sander Kleinenberg and more. FIZION will ensure that Paul David is a producer here to stay.

There’s not really a more all-star cast of characters that an up-and-coming producer in the Progressive House game could ask for… When Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Hardwell, Gareth Emery, Carl Cox, Eddie Halliwell, and more are all playing your tracks, people are bound to take notice. Enter Damian William, a young Frenchman who has burst onto the scene with tracks like Russian Doll, The Wall, Essence, and Fractal, all of which have received mega-support by a veritable who’s who of the DJ Mag Top 100.

His newest release came out this week, and it’s a monster of a one-two punch. Atlantis is a rocket that just put on the afterburners, and is likely to ignite dance floors from the Vegas Strip to the Ibizan sands all summer. The B-side, La Septiame Marche, is a quality piece of euphoric Prog House bound to incite those memorable hands-in-the-air moments the genre is famous for.

Have a listen to the tracks below, and head over to Beatport to get your hands on a copy!

Our good friend Mr. Pegnato, or Hot Mouth, just released his debut EP, Habits, on Rising Music last week, and we couldn’t be happier about the great response it’s received thus far. The pair of tracks, ‘Good Habits’ and ‘Bad Habits,’ are two big time Progressive House tracks perfectly fitted for a main stage smash, and with a name like Chris Lake fully supporting the EP on his own label, I’m sure we’ll be hearing Habits, good or bad, this upcoming summer season.

Pick up the EP on Beatport and jump down for the latest installment of the GDD™ x Hot Mouth Mix Series. Continue Reading
